They don't trim and clean up the skin around your nails, they don't paint to the top of the nail bed (causing it to look grown out quickly), and likely using inferior products. I've been getting gel manicures since they became a thing and I've never seen gel crack and splinter like this after only a few days. Nail tech said they couldn't do a very simple geometric shape on my nail because they "don't have stable enough hands."
I was flabbergasted and sat in silence... I'd never heard of a nail tech unable to make a triangle with a line down the middle.
I'm bummed... this is the closest salon to my new house but for $55 I'd expect my nails not to crack and peel after 5 days.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, although we're disappointed to hear that it fell short of your expectations, we appreciate your feedback as it allows us to address any concerns and continuously improve our services.
We want to clarify our approach to manicures. Our number one priority is the health and safety of your nails which is why we only push the cuticles back and trim existing hangnails. Touching the cuticles during polishing can also lead to allergies and product lifting which is why we polish as close to the cuticles as possible instead.
Regarding the tiny cracks and chipping you experienced, these could result from various factors including natural wear and tear. It's essential to note that gel polish does not provide additional strength to the nails.
As for the design you requested, we aim to be transparent with our clients about the complexity of certain designs. Achieving crisp geometric shapes and lines can be challenging and requires precision. We believe in offering services that meet our high standards, even if it means being upfront about their difficulty.
We understand that you're new to our salon and we operate differently from others. Communication and education are fundamental to our approach and we value the opportunity to discuss and address any concerns directly.
