Just had my plantation shutters installed by Simply Shutters and they look fantastic! They offer the best prices and value hands down on plantation shutters anywhere! Simply Shutters are very upfront on the whole process from the "in home" sales presentation to manufacturing, shipping and installation! There's even a YouTube site that shows the complete manufacturing process! The whole process was smooth as silk! I especially want to give a shout out to the installation team that were prompt and very professional with the installation!

The techs that installed our shutters did a remarkable job. The shutters are premium quality at affordable prices. We are so pleased and happy with our decision to work with this company and highly recommend considering their services. It may have taken 12 weeks to get the job done but it was well worth the wait!!

After reading some of these reviews, undoubtedly they are pleased when installed. HAVE A problem and is a different story. Ordered shutters for all windows and glass door. Ordered placed 1/30/23. Shutters were not delivered when promised. the installers were NOT experienced and YES
DAWN did get involved, still have what I consider a serious problem with one of my shutter. Service people have been out a a few different times. Was told they would give details to Dawn. The shutter will not close and if it is adjusted so it will close and operate properly, the slats will come out of the frame.
Called Monday March 18, 2024, told Shannon why I was calling, put me on hold, OOPS, THE LINE WENT DEAD, I called back and Shannon said Dawn didn't know anything about, they undoubtedly do not keep notes on customer with shutter issues.will send out Service repairs or just outright not telling truth. Shannon called back and said a repairman would be out Friday 3/22 between 12:00 and 3:00.
OF COURSE, NO ONE CAME. THIS IS CERTAINLY DIFFERENT FROM THEIR WARRANTY , A LIFETIME WARRANTY IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG.
I CAN NOT HONESTLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS
OR PEOPLE THAT ASK ME, AND I HAVE NOT. I DO NEED MY CREDIBILITY AND I SHY AWAY FROM GIVING SIMPLY SHUTTERS A NEGATIVE REVIEW BUT I NO LONGER FEEL THEY ARE A CREDIBLE, HONEST COMPANY. After going back out to her home twice, which she doesn't seem to remember... It was determined there is absolutely nothing wrong with her shutters. She wants to close them downwards, when the shutters are built to close up. We've gone out now twice to try and explain that you can't close the louvers down, but she seems to keep forgetting.

As of today, January 14, 2024 I have not heard back from anybody. This whole dilemma was their fault. It is plain and simple--their installer did the damages and Simply Shutters is responsible for making things right.
I reached out to Simply Shutters and Dawn told me to send out an email to: sales@simplyshutters.com. I notified their customer service department as they had requested only to get a disrespectful, nasty email back--which wasn't even signed by any individual. I wrote back to explain they were not familiar with my order and asked for the owner to call me. Today, January 14...I have not heard back from anybody.
This is the "Lovely" message I received from Simply Shutters customer service. On Monday, November 27, 2023, 11:36 AM, Simply Shutters sales@simplyshutters.com wrote,
We are a plantation shutter company, not a construction company. If you had pre existing frames up you should have had that taken care of prior to our arrival. We're there to install plantation shutters, not remodel your home.
That being said, any issues with the shutters we will take care of completely.
On Monday, November 27, 2023, 11:48 AM, this was my response and I have not heard back from them.
I need to speak to the owner of the company.
Please have him call me at 561-707-7414.
On Monday, November 27, 2023, 12:18 PM, I followed up with an additional email trying to give this individual the benefit of the doubt....and wrote,
Obviously you are not familiar with my order.
The original frames were installed incorrectly.
Therefore, new ones had to be ordered and installed.
The old frames which were installed were from your company and they would not allow me to open my windows. As such, you ordered new frames to be replaced or reinstalled.
So yes, your installer came to install the correct ones. Yes he had to take the old ones off. (That would not be my job. Absolutely not.)
With that being said the damages incurred during this transition would be your company's responsibility to fix--not mine.
In the meantime, I will be needing to speak to the owner of the company.
This email received no response.
Let the saga begin....
I orginally ordered and paid for my shutters on 8-19-2022. They arrived at the warehouse on January 10, 2023 and installed on March 21, 2023.
They were just lovely as could be until I realized I could not open my windows. The shutters were installed with the incorrect wall trim, which would not allow me access to the window cranks. Out of the 8 shutters I purchased--only the 3 front windows could open. In case of a fire, this would have been a hazard to be wreckoned with.
November 14, 2023, first the incorrect frames needed to be removed, to have access for the proper new frames to be installed. Plain and simple their installer left damages behind. Holes in the walls, even a piece of the wall fell out--yet when I mentioned to him to fix it he simply ignored me. Part of one of the new frames is not even attached to the wall to hold it in place. Nevertheless, the installer partially removed freshly done knockdown--which, by itself, will cost me $200 to have it repaired.
The people I dealt with, Steve and Bryan to purchase these shutters were very pleasant and aiming to please their customers. So how did this botched up project happen?

We purchased shutters for our sliding glass doors. Poor communication after taking down payment. Finally after more than 4 months, they were installed improperly and without necessary trim. One door didn't fit so the cut an ugly hole in the floor trim. Shutters did not touch the walls. After one hour the shutters on our kitchen door fell down. Waited 4 days for a crew to return. This crew agreed that the product did not fit properly and did not include proper framing. I stopped the second payment check and the crew removed the products from our house. I doubt that I will get my original payment back. Beware of this company. Their installers are not trained properly and their product does not meet industry standards.

We delivered exactly what you purchased. We strongly recommended doing outside mount sliders, but you wanted inside mount sliders. It isn't the job of a plantation shutter company to trim your wood moldings and do custom wood work for you. That should've been handled prior to us arriving or at least after we left and then came out for a second time.
You're correct, our installers are not trained to do things that have nothing to do with plantation shutters. As far as our shutters meeting industry standards... I have no idea how your baseboards needing to be cut has anything to do with our shutters, which far exceed industry standards.
