I actually went to the beaches location and am so upset and mortified. I thought going to an actual doctor would be the smart thing, but boy was I wrong. I have been in tears for days now. And from what i read online will be left looking this way for months, possibly half a yr. I went in for simple dysport and was talked into getting masster botox. Was hoping for facial slimming and ended up completely losing my smile. Completely horrified. I've had a number of large events that i have had to appear at looking and feeling horrible not being able to properly smile. My cheeks look and feel bigger than before. I am so upset and will never be back and will not recommend this place. I also spent more here than i ever have for injectables and am left looking horrible.

I am a long time patient of Dr. Pentel. She has helped me transform my skin from the struggles of teenage acne to sun damage to anticipatory removal to anti-aging prevention in my early 30's. There's no one I trust more when it comes to my skin and aesthetic treatments than her! I even took my friend here before her wedding and she loved every second, wishing she had some place like this closer to her in DC. Her facilities are impeccably clean and calming, accompanied by friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable nurse and staff. It truly is the peak of luxury and you won't find anywhere better in Jax, or anywhere for that matter, for all of your needs. I come out of my here to visit whenever I am in town from DC. Whether my dermatological needs are medical, soothing, preventative, or for Beauty, Mary Pentel and her team are forever my go-to!

I will also be writing a review on Facebook and BBB to warn others and I have wrote this on Google reviews: Don't go here. I went to get my scalp looked at...

She glanced at one spot of my scalp then sat down and spit out information I can get from google.

If a person goes to get their scalp / hair loss looked at, then doesn't it make sense to do an entire scalp check????

She didn't do that. I repeat, my scalp was not checked.
A thorough exam should have been done of my whole scalp and all my hair moved to look for more areas of missing hair and / or inflammation.

Don't waste your money.
Please, please, please I implore you go somewhere else.

I tried to get a refund because my scalp was not examined, which is what I paid for, a scalp exam.

Upon talking to the man I was told to talk to I started to cry very badly, which I didn't want to, because this entire process has upset me, something about discussing it made me cry so bad.

Then all the man on the phone said is, "crying is not professional". Well I'm not a professional in this scenario, I'm the patient.

I can't believe this situation. All I wanted was my entire scalp looked at and to be told how many more bald spots I had or if my scalp was inflamed on areas I cannot see and this has been such a horrible experience.

Please if I can save one person from paying for a scalp examine and them not getting it, this is worth it.

I would have been more than happy to edit my review to say "my experience was not good, but they worked with me on fixing" or even deleted this review entirely had they worked with me and listened to my experience and showed basic empathy. But they didn't.

When I booked the appointment they said 20% discount and confirmed the amount. After service they said no discount not only that they are quite rude.

This practice offers exceptional customer service for patients as well as the best in dermatological skin care issues.

Very strange experience here. I would go into detail but I feel like it's a waste of my time; like the two appointments I made here for my psoriasis this past summer and the months I wasted trying to get help here for my acne as a teenager. Save your time. Go anywhere else. Just such weird energy

I have been going to Southside dermatology for many years . I have always been happy with the PA I have seen, but recently saw one named Carmen who was a nightmare! . I got a terrible infection from a skin lesion that she removed. I went to see Dr Pentel for an oral antibiotic and antibiotic topical ointment.because it was so infected. I was told to see the PA again on Monday for a recheck. She was so so rude and told me I didn't know how to take care of it and continued to betate me! I l have the highest respect for Dr Pentel , but her PA is just so unprofessional and unkind!

I have been going to Southside Dermatology for many years. I enjoy their services. I've been seen on both sides of the house. A great place for your dermatology needs.

This place provides excellent customer support as well as their skin care services.

They stay very busy so make sure to make your appointments months or weeks prior to coming in. The dermatologist as well as their staff are very knowledgeable and helpful in every aspect.
The mole removal treatment was painless and although some came back which was expected.
I was still satisfied with the experience here and highly recommend it.

The office is small but fully equipped and super clean.
