Spa Empressnem Salon

I really enjoyed my experience at Spa Empressman. Empress(Toya) and Danyelle really showed my daughter and I some real southern hospitality. We got nails, pedicure and nails, and lashes very professionally and accommodating. I even came back the next day for a braid one stop shop. Can't wait for my next visit.

I went in for a gel pedicure. The young lady doing my feet was in training. I realized this mid way through. A trainee should not be working on paying customers. 50 bucks wasted! The gel polish looked horrible ! I ended up going to another place never again

I found this salon during the start of COVID. My husband and I were glad to support a black female owned business and received a couples mani-pedi. We introduced our adult daughter to the salon and she visited multiple times on her own as well as for our mother-daughter mani- pedis. She also took her younger sister for their sibling mani-pedi. So I am confused as to why today when she showed up for her appointment and Toy (the owner and a plus size woman) thought it was ok to degrade and insult her by telling her that she was could not sit in her pedicure chairs due to her size. The same chairs that Toy saw her sit in for her previous visits. She was a big girl when she first came.. I can only assume that when money was tight during COVID weight didn't matter, but business is back up again. Here's a bit of advice Toy:
1) Since you book online by appointment only, try adding a weight restriction by your pedicure option.
2) As a professional, if a client exceeds the weight limit. Don't dehumanize them. Pull them aside privately, talk to them, and let them know that your chair can't safely accommodate them. This is what she should have done the first visit, not after she has been a client for over a year. If this is how you treat your clients, we will pass.

They do good nails great service love the pedicures I have been about three times and every time it's been great
