Anyone associated with saint Francis memorial hospital should get a 1 star. You get slammed by triple the doctor's fee as "hospital fee". Makes no sense, but whatever. Doctor has little to no interest in your case (probably cause he knows you won't come back after first bill). Yeah, nah!

Dr. Chen is fantastic! I've had a nagging achilles injury that started when COVID hit, and I finally decided to get it checked out. Not only was I able to book Dr. Chen through Zocdoc, I was able to visit him virtually (his office is in Walnut Creek and I am in SF), but he was also able to help me get set up with PT and a gait check (I'm a long time runner). He was super responsive to email and helpful in every respect. He was also informative, reassuring, and calming. Great virtual bedside manner!

While I hope to not make visiting a sports doc a regular occurrence-- whenever I have another sports injury-- I will not hesitate to give Dr. Chen a call! Also, doesn't hurt that he accepts Blue Shield of California PPO!

Dr. Chen is an excellent physician. He is very through with his exam and has excellent bed side manners. As a former pediatrician, he loves working with youth sports injuries without surgical intervention. I love helping our mutual patients together, move them back to their activities. I am very glad I have a great physician like Dr. Chen to refer my patients to. Thank you Dr. Chen.

I had a great experience with Dr Chen and his referral over to their PT group, who were also rock stars. I first came to him for my daughters based on a recommendation, so I knew who he was and how much of an expert he is. And then 2 months ago I entered his facility due to some significant shoulder pain. He spent significant time with me asking me questions about the pain, mobility, lifestyle, goals, etc. Then he provided me a treatment plan that included PT that worked. I am pain free and feeling great. I trust him and I would highly recommend Dr Chen and his practice.

Dr. Chen came highly recommend by a friend of mine. Super knowledgeable and unlike most providers you'll see, he actually takes the time and shows he cares. As an avid athlete he was able to help me with my shoulder pain as well as set me up with Physical Therapy. He was also able to help out my little cousin as youth sports are starting back up again. Lack of follow up and poor communication . I found what we discussed did not transfer to my referrals or timely care.

I met Dr. Chen at a community event and he was warm and very friendly. I went to his office to see him for a knee problem and the visit was great! I don't usually write yelp reviews but I felt compelled to tell people about this wonderful office. The office was clean and the staff was friendly. I got an appointment within one day of calling. Dr. Chen had excellent bedside manner and was a great listener. He let me talk and I never felt rushed. He then did a detailed exam and spent time discussing how we were going to help my pain. They also had digital x-ray on site and he was able to show me exactly what was going on. I felt comfortable through my whole visit. I'm optimistic I will be running again in no time.
