I DO NOT RECOMMEND this apartment community.
This is not the complex to call home. I lived here over the past year, moved in at the top of Covid.
Let me tell you, Brittany previous manager and the existing assistant Hannah has poor sense of customer service.
In March of 20, i moved into a filthy unit, full of dog hair, nasty microwave, nasty refrigerator, unpainted walls with bug blood still on the surface, and the washer dryer and under was a disgrace.
Let's talk customer service, i had to call and email several times and still did not get a reply from
The folks sitting in the office. I had to call corporate to get an answer of the light on the back of the unit disconnected because it hummed so loud i couldn't sleep. They still didn't address the filth.
I DO NOT recommend this complex. With the car break ins, homeless hub and lack of customer service from the office, save your $1500-2000 per month and move up Charlotte closer to downtown. You will be happier and safer.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Good afternoon Sha,
Thank you for leaving us a review, however we do wish it was under better circumstances. My name is Jennifer and I am the new property manager at Summit Nashville West. I am terribly sorry that your move in process was not a pleasant one and that you were so disappointed with the customer service you received from the office staff throughout you stay here. I can assure you that providing the best possible customer service is something that I take very seriously and I would love to help make your remaining time here at Summit a positive one.
It is unfortunate that due to the pandemic car break ins have been on the rise throughout all of Nashville. We have put temporary patrol in place as well as added some additional LED lighting throughout the community to try and help deter future occurrences. We cannot guarantee anyone's safety, or their personal properties safety, however we are trying our best to help in anyway we can. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at summitnashville.mgr@ram-mgt.com or at 615-352-1119 with any items of concern you may have. Also, please reach out to me with a time I can have our amazing maintenance supervisor Roger come and take a look at the areas in your apartment home needing some attention. Of course, I love meeting my new residents in person as well so please swing by the office if you are able to. Please stay warm in this freezing weather!
Kindest Regards,
Jennifer McDonough

We moved into The Summit during a very difficult time in life. They were very accommodating and continue to be. We are so thankful for Brittany and Hannah in the office and Roger in maintenance.
The apartment is spacious and modern yet classy. If you are looking for a space that you get tons of natural light, storage, quiet, and safe this is the place you should call your new home.
It is convenient to any shopping you could possibly want to do with Target, Best Buy, Publix, Sprouts, World Market, Costco only minutes away. You can get downtown in 15 minutes. Heck you can get to the interstate in less than 5 minutes. That in of itself is a plus in this amazing booming city!
Come take a look and see for yourself!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cory C.Eugene, OR114082Feb 9, 2021

I thoroughly enjoy living here. My apartment is on the top floor so I have high vaulted ceilings which I love. I'm excited the weather is warming up because the pool is always a fun spot to be here. My roommate and I are trying to get pool-body ready at our awesome gym but we are in such close proximity to breweries, restaurants and shopping it can make it difficult lol. Whenever I have called the office they've been so kind and have helped me set up my online account so I can easily pay my rent and put in maintenance requests. My roommate and I both travel for work so this works well for us. Overall we are super happy here and couldn't ask for a better experience!

Do not live here. If you are concerned for your safety or the protection of your car then you can find a much better apartment complex for the same price.
There have been many car break ins just over the past year and a half of living here and management does not care at all. I have reached out to them multiple times about my concern for my safety and others and have never been given any response. This past weekend there were 5+ cars broken into on one night which was very alarming to many people. Especially when it happens right where I park almost every night. Every one of these cars had their windows smashed. Some of the residents stated that nothing was even taken as they were already not keeping valuables in their car because of the issue with cars being broken into.
What did management say in their copy and pasted, generic response to this? "Lock your car doors, keep valuables out of site, blah blah blah". Basically making it seem like it is the residents fault for the break ins happening. I do all of these things and that isn't going to prevent someone from smashing my window in. It's very concerning and makes you not want to park your car here. I reached out twice and asked management what they planned to do to help with the issue and help everyone feel safer. No response. My roommate also reached out. No response...big surprise.
Earlier in the fall of 2020 when this was happening quite frequently, they stated that they were going to get security guards to come at night. That was short lived and haven't been seen in months. Same with security cameras. My roommate (who had their car broken into) was told that the security cameras weren't working when his car was broken into.
Around the same time my roommate had his car broken into, I woke one morning and found another car outside my apartment that had their window smashed. I wanted the person who owned the car to know what had happened so I went down to the leasing office and gave them the car information and parking tag number so that they could reach out to the owner. They didn't seem to care too much when I informed them what I found but told me they would reach out to the owner. I suspected that they would not do this based on how they had already been handling the car break ins. I ended up leaving a note on this girl's car and leaving my information after I had noticed it had been several hours and no change to the car. It was going to rain so I bagged her window up wondering if she was out of town. Turns out she was out of town and when she returned she came over to my apartment to thank me....told me that management had never reached out like they said (surprise surprise).. this girl's car could have been ruined and they didn't even care to inform her of anything.
Parking here is another issue here. Not enough parking and there are always cars parked without tags. They send emails every once in awhile saying they will tow these cars but again nothing has seemed to change.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello Jessica,
Thank you for leaving us a review, however we wish it was on better terms. My name is Jennifer, and I am the brand new Property Manager at Summit Nashville West. I want to assure you that we are very concerned about the recent events. We have added temporary weekend patrol as well as have asked Nashville booting to patrol and tag cars behind our gate if they are not supposed to be parked onsite. The controlled access gates are in place merely as a deterrent and, as much as we wish we could, we cannot guarantee anyone’s safety.
We do send emails to inform residents when a situation like car break-ins occur to remind residents to be vigilant as well by locking their doors , avoid leaving valuables in the car , etc. We do not send these emails out to place blame on anyone and I am very sorry to hear that you felt that was the intention. With the current pandemic, there has been an unfortunate uptick in car break-ins throughout the entire city as well as suburban areas. I can assure you that we will continue to communicate and do our very best to assist local law enforcement and keep lines of communication open.
I wish that the previous experiences you had here were more positive, but I can assure you that I will try my best to address any concerns you may have as soon as possible. Please reach out to me directly with any further and future questions or concerns I can help you with.
Kindest Regards,
Jennifer McDonough

I just moved out due to a new roommate situation and felt really disappointed by the lack of clear communication from management about trash removal policies upon move out. My roommate and I were charged $150 for a few bags of trash that were left out for valet trash in a manner that we had been consistently doing all year. I did not appreciate the gaps in communication and the overpriced fine. Other than that I would say I really enjoyed living here

Hi Audrey,
We are glad that you all enjoyed your time here living at The Summit! I do apologize for any miscommunication about trash removal. Everyone is given a valet trash bin to be used for their trash bags upon move in to have their trash placed outside there door, which is also listed on your move-in inspection list. We do send move out instructions when residents give their notice to vacate that does state trash is to be placed in proper containers. This is to help prevent for insects, stains, leaks, etc.
Sincerely,
The Summit Management Team - Rachel B.Franklin, TN01Nov 24, 2020

Summit is new, clean, and very well kept. Maintenance is always incredibly quick to help if you have a problem, and staff in the clubhouse are nothing but kind and helpful. You are a bit removed from the city- it takes me 15 minutes without traffic to get to music row, safely 25 minutes with traffic. However, if that doesn't bother you there are TONS of nearby stores and restaurants in the area to keep you busy. The only complaints I would have would be location isn't 'central', and parking can be an issue. As a young woman I really hate to walk far to my apartment at night, and often the spots are all taken near my place. Other than that, I love summit!

Update:
After posting these reviews property management called and offered to replace the locks free of charge.
I called Lauren back (the manager who left a comment asking for me to call) and left two messages for her. Never got a call back.
Do not live here. Safety concerns & not worth the price. While the apartment and ammentaties are absolutely beautiful, management does not prioritize safety concerns. The surrounding area is a little sketchy, especially after dark. I selected this apartment because of the secure gate feature and opted to pay extra because of it. ITS ALWAYS BROKEN. This time, it's currently been broken for 4-5 days and has yet to be fixed. Not only does this security measure break often, management does not communicate the outage or when we can expect it to be prepared and they act annoyed when we reach out to inquire.
Recently, I've noticed things have gone missing in my apartment and yesterday someone got in an out leaving fecal traces of evidence behind. That's right, I came home to a literal pile of actual crap. When I called the office to report this and see if anyone had been in here they denied any allegations and kindly offered to replace the locks for $50. I've never given anyone a spare key, so the only way someone could have gotten in was if they had the property key. They've offered 0 support in helping me feel safe in an already sketchy environment.
If you do move here, don't allow maintenance to preform a repair unless they are home. Multiple times I've come home to unflushed poop and empty toilet rolls that weren't empty when I left. This is extremely unprofessional and quite frankly, disturbing.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Great living experience! The units are very spacious and nice for the price. The community, dog park, pool, gym are so nice. I'd recommend to anyone looking to be close to everything but also out of the city traffic.
