I was very excited to find what I thought would be a great day care for my 7 month old puppy. I attended the meet and greet, filled out the application and made my deposit with my reservations. On my puppy's first morning there she was very hesitant to go with the male co-owner so I asked if he could please text me once she warms up. I'm at work concerned about my puppy so I call and text with absolutely no contact back from the owners. I pick up my puppy early due to their non communication only to find out that my puppy was not fed her breakfast or lunch and that this didn't warrant a phone or text either. I had high hopes for this doggy day care because they stated they prided themselves on the personal attention given to each dog. I felt none of this personalized attention as I only got any information when I picked my puppy up after 9 hours there . That didn't feel very personalized to me.
No matter what response and excuses the business owner posts I will continue to feel that the upmost personalized care was not given to my puppy. The slightly urine smelling blanket was an oversight on my end but all the other disasters that day rest solely on Tazito's.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for your review. I'd like to clear something up that you failed to mention. During our initial meet and greet we did state that updates are usually send in the afternoon as we are highly busy during morning times. Your pup was also very shy and weary of my husband from the get go. Something we were also concerned about pointed out during our meet and greet, but she did warm up so we decided to give her a try. I did also mention that since I am expecting he would be the one taking her in during the morning and to expect her to be shy as she was already shy and weary during our meet and greet. At arrival your pup did as expected and was very shy, you brought her smelling like pee as well as he belonging. It's not that we didn't feed your dog, your 7 month old very shy pup was presented with food the entire time she was in our care and she didn't eat. We don't force feed any pup. That is not uncommon or concerning for a pup who has never been in our care to do and is very shy. Our apologies that the phone wasn't answered immediately, but our focus during the day and mornings is to make sure all pups are becoming comfortable with us, and phone call's are usually returned in the afternoon times when everyone is resting. Specially since you also did fail to metion that your pup was an escape artist who has climed fences and was kicked out of her previous daycare because of it and needed extra focus and care to avoid any escape incidents. Our personalized care and focus was for your dog. To come to our business page and essentially insinuate your pup was ignored for 9 hours and wasn't presented any food and wasnt cared for is not only factually wrong but also hurtful to our small business. We do pride ourselves on providing the best care for your dog and that is reflected by the reviews of our long standing customers.

Very sketchy.... Be forewarned!
I arranged to have my dog boarded last weekend. I spoke to the female owner and she scheduled a meet and greet for Sunday morning of the weekend prior. no further discussion was had, as I figured it would all be discussed at the meet and greet. well the day came and I brought my dog to meet, etc. everything was fine as he met the male owner on the porch (I guess to assess his demeanor?). the meeting ended and I still had no idea of their rates, so I asked him. He told me $40 a day for a dog my size. This sounded high but I was counting on using them so I took it. then he told me about their app, which I had to download to make a reservation. I did this and suddenly saw that the rate was $50 a day for a dog of his size. RED FLAGS... anyway, I finished the reservation and had to pay a $10 fee to hold the reservation. Then upload the shot record, which is to be expected.
anyway, I went on my trip, came home and picked up my dog... went home home and saw the receipt/invoice for the transaction... the fee was $153, plus the original $10 deposit. So I paid $163 for TWO DAYS! (Saturday through Monday)
When I alerted them that I was being overcharged, she called me and told me about all of the fictional things she claimed to have discussed with me in our first phone call. NOTHING was discussed, beyond setting up a meet and greet. Fees were added that were never discussed or approved of. yes he is intact, which I told her on the phone. She said that is fine... no mention of a fee. This place is shady... and the bill bears no resemblance to any prior conversations we had.
I'm sure she will now commence to deny and lie... but you know the truth. be forewarned!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We start every call with four questions. Age? Weight? Intact or not? and Vaccinations? From those answers you are given a quote and made aware that there could be an additional daycare fee if you pick up past drop-off time. We do not move on to the meet and greet unless the customer wants to proceed, otherwise we would just waste each others time. The meet and greet is not to nail down a price you were already given it is to see if your dog is comfortable with us and not in any way aggressive since we do not accept any aggressive dogs for the safety of us and our clients. When you called in you requested a quote and one was provided after you answered those questions. It was last minute but you were referred to us from another client so we made space for your in-tact 91 lb large pup. You were made aware of the following. Any dog that is in-tact, meaning not neutered or spayed has an additional daily $5 fee. The Nightly rate is a 24 hr rate and is $55 for your 91Ibin-tact dog that starts at the time of drop-off. Daycare fee is always $10 less than Night/Boarding. You dropped off your dog at 9AM Saturday Morning and didn't pick him up until past 5PM on Monday. So in total it was 2 nights and a daycare plus tax. Our rates are very competitive. Marlowe is an amazing dog and he had a blast!

We love Tazito's!
Recommended by word of mouth through fellow dog owners at the dog part down town - so I decided to give them a try!
My dog had previously been attending a dog daycare with a ton of other dogs that were shortstaffed - he was overwhelmed.
Tazito's was a smaller one on one experience with a home setting. Perks of daycare AND being at "home"
Ruth is so sweet and really cares - if she's not available there's always someone there.
She also sends photos throughout the day!
Amazing hours for folks who work not the usual 9-5 or do but have things after work... most daycares close by 6 which can be hard!!
Since going I've met other people in the community who use her too, which is great and reassuring. I've even recommended her to some people to check out!
So if you're thinking about it - just give her a try and you won't be disappointed!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kiki S.Buffalo, NY02Jan 9, 2022
