The Original Barrie Burger

I think this place has had a couple of ownership turnovers in the past few years, but the quality of their burger is still excellent.
Current staff is happy and courteous.
Comfortable ordering system. No electronic signs that change before you make up your mind. (Senior here.)
Prices are about as good as they get.
Their fries cost them one star. (I get the combo with rings ipo fries.)
My wife goes for the greek salad, I get the Banquetburger combo.
This is old school burger bar. Full run of basic condiments. No special sauce etc.
Now if they would only do a smash and upgrade their fries, they'd get a 5.

I had heard great things about this place and I finally made it in. Yes the burger was delicious. I really enjoyed it The dies on the other hand were only ok. I put malt vinegar on my fries and it was very watery tasting. I did not complain to anyone. I'm willing to give the fries and malt vinegar another chance. I will return for sure

WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!! Ordered 4 burgers for 4 people, 3 of us the next day were very ill with food poisoning. We figured it out why 3 out 4 were sick. 3 burgers with mayo and one without. Contacted the restaurant and they would not refund my money and did not care that we were very sick. Before refilling your mayo jar you may want to clean it before hand!!

Totally disgusted with this place!
Store owner was yelling and screaming at customers today March 25, 2018.
Young lady came to get her paycheque and owner screamed at her to leave store. Other customers came in store and owner yelled at them to leave store also.
Police were called and told the young lady that report was filed and to call the Labour Board on owner as they unfortunately could not do anything. Owner did state he would mail out cheque to young lady.
The way the Owner treated this young lady as well as other customers he does not deserve to be in business!
Will be passing on my experience to all friends to stay away from Barrie Burger on Young Street.
An Owner who treats customers like this with his yelling and screaming and acting like a little child does not deserve any business!

The food wasn't worth the price, the service was not decent either. I felt the person was kinda pushy and demanding.

Its exactly what you'd expect. Places like this are a dying breed in the era of $12 hamburgers. It's cheap, it tastes good and I'm pretty sure they serve beer. Nothing outstanding about the food and nothing memorable.

I've been coming here for 15 years. Normally good greasy spoon. But lately hours seem to change and service people don't take pride.....today I got a pork souvlaki and the girl just smashed it all together and wrapped it. Quality has come down in the last while. Spent $40 for our dinner here today and asked for extra dressing and was asked for .50 cents????? really?

They serve good food at great prices, service is always friendly. Banquet burger is always a good bet as well as their Super Dog. They also serve all day breakfast!

I was sitting at the table with my girlfriend trying to decide what to order when we were approached by the extremely rude server who told us we had to order or leave. We order the bacon burgers paid 22 dollars for undercooked bacon, terrible tasting burgers, and subpar french fries. Not to mention the female bathroom was very dirty and had a disturbing smell. We eat out a lot and have never been so upset with our dinning experience, save yourself the money and do not dine out here.

What a good place! Great food, great service! Portions were outstanding! Fries not the greatest! Larger and very potato-ie! onion rings are great! Will be back! Left completely satisfied and not broke!
