I am very pleased with The Patch Boys of McKinney. From the very beginning of getting an estimate everyone was prompt and responsive. The company was quick to book the repair of drywall repair, gave me reminders of the appointment and were right on time. The work done was excellent and I would definitely use this company again. Very professional group!

I called The patch boys of mckinney to patch and texture simple holes in walls. They did a terrible job texturing the walls in every room they touched then came back and their skill set wasn't good enough to repair the walls. The house is three years old and after the finished the wall looked nine years old. The room looked very stressed and dated after their repair work.
I called patch masters to fix patch boys of mckinney hack job and sent them the pictures of every phase of the repair work. They promised to send me a partial refund and never sent it. Stay away from The patch boys of mckinney they do terrible work. Call any place but this one.

Complete redo of 3 car garage ceiling. Did job correctly and on time.... Others were a bit cheaper but were not as knowledgeable....Great Job!

Patch Boy is amazing. Bob called within 10 minutes of requesting quote. Tech- Fernando told me when he arrived, arrived when he said. Very professional and respectful of my property. Cleaned up as he went. Great work and amazing price.

patch boys was recommended by Rebath that was doing a remodel in my batgroom they came out and gave estimate before Rebath started I told them what I was needing the walls had wallpaper and they said it was best to just replace all sheet rock texture and paint so when Rebath did remodel they replaced all sheet rock behind toilet and cabinet before install when patch boys came I can see all of the seams where the sheet rock come together and in one spot they didn't replace the sheet rock and what up there was thicker sheet rock than what they put up there. I couldn't get anyone to answer phone when I tried to call when his guy was working I bought new baseboards to install after they textured and they would install they said Rebath removed them and it was they were responsible I will never use them again

I tried this business, for the first time, after reading decent positive reviews but, unfortunately, my experience was horrible! Bob Taggart owns & runs this business & he doesn't keep his own words!

I called & sure enough Bob showed up on the same day to look at the problem. I explained everything to him & also told him that it was my first time & quality of work as well as customer service is very important to me. Bob assured me several times that he will take good care of me, I will be happy with the end result, he will send the best guy he has, & that I don't have to worry about anything at all!

Bob gave me "verbal" quote & left. Even though his price was expensive compare to the others, I trusted his words & called him to send the quote in "writing" first & then to start the work. Bob assured me that he will send the written estimate as soon as he can but also pressurized me that he still need to start the work soon otherwise he has to reschedule me after his other "several projects." Applying pressure to start the work, without first giving anything in writing, even though asked several times, was already a big red flag but I still ignored it & went with his words of, "Don't worry, I will take GOOD care of you."

Sure enough I never got contract in writing as promised & labor showed up on the appointment day. I text & reminded Bob about the contract & this time he said to not worry about that too much as work will be done as "discussed," also that his office person is on vacation hence the delay. How come he never told me about his office person's absence before? This was coming only now when I have asked him several times. He then told me the same thing that the contract will be sent. Of course, nothing was sent!

While waiting for the contract, work was already done & payment was demanded. Even though I was at work I still paid him promptly. I then told Bob that I will check everything once I get home & will let him know if I see any issues. Again, up to this point there was no contract given & on top, no receipt was given for the payment either!

I came home & the work was done in a careless manner. Caulking was missing from inside & the main problem, paint, was all messed up. I immediately called Bob & told him the whole situation & right away I realized that his attitude was changed! He start arguing with me on how I was supposed to supply the correct paint & that workman did whatever paint I provided to him.

First of all, I don't even remember him telling me that paint will be coming from my side. As far as I remember, paint was supposed to be from his side and was included in his "verbal" quote. Secondly, I did provide him whatever paint builder gave me which turned out to be not the same color. Also, to avoid this very same type of situations, I asked him multiple times for written contract which was never provided.

I told Bob that I will get the correct paint & that he has to send his person again to fix the leftover issues to which he reluctantly agreed. I also told him about the missing receipt to which he said it will be sent.

Of course, few days passed there was no response &/or receipt from Bob. Finally got hold of him & instead of apologizing for not keeping up with his promises, he started to argue with me again on how not providing correct paint was my fault & that now he has to pull his guy out of "other projects" to take care of my needs. I told him it was nothing extra he was doing & that work was never fully completed. Again, he reluctantly told me that he will stop by himself to take a look at the issues.

Bob came by & right away his attitude was offensive. Would not let me talk, was talking over me, & tried to blame me for everything. Multiple times I was reminded on how he went above & beyond to fix my issues. He talked to me as if he gave me huge kindnesses & favors & as if the work was done for free! He had then an audacity to tell me that now he will be charging me extra to send his guy again even though I was told clearly that this 2nd visit will be free of charge.

At this point I had enough of him & told him that the work was clearly done below average & not to what was promised. Listening to this, Bob got frustrated & walked out right on my face! Yes, you read that right - he stormed out right on my face!

Good thing no insurance was involved in this but imagine if you were dealing with insurance where estimate & receipt are important documents to get your claim approved & paid, but you are working with this guy who doesn't care about these at all!

3 weeks after Bob stormed out on me, I got an email which was supposedly my receipt. I opened the attachment & it said "Estimate." How careless a person can be?

I definitely would not give another chance or recommend this business to other. If you still want to try your luck then at least make sure to get everything itemized & in-writing prior to the beginning of any work!

Bob came and gave me a quote and he is the type of guy that you can tell does what he says he is going to do. His pricing was very reasonable and his employees do fantastic work. There are a lot of shady sheetrock guys out there so I made sure to look for a company with solid feedback. I will surely use Bob and his crew next time I need sheetrock work done.

Good communications, the lead contractor came out to look at the cracks in our walls and was very honest and straight forward about what we could expect. He knew his stuff, pointed out a number of details we hadn't noticed before. His sub contractor came out and spent a day patching. Turned out his sub contractor brought his uncle who did most of the work, unbeknownst to the lead, then offered me his personal card for any more work, stealing his bosses customer. Still - excellent work and you couldn't see any cracks when they were done. Just didn't appreciate the weird drama and told the boss about it. Would hire again.

I highly recommend The Patch Boys! The job I had was small--I just needed some patchwork done where the previous homeowners had hung pictures and some larger objects on the wall. Patch Boys did everything I needed for a low cost, and the worker that came out was very helpful, friendly, and efficient. I will use them again.
