Ironic how Cary H. (Manager of Customer Service) spends half of his day on Facebook trolling and name calling instead of doing his job...which should be helping customers?
Check the Google reviews of Tiger and the replies - unprofessional and sad!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - William S.IL, IL45014Aug 3, 2021
I live in Wicker Park and I have been doing business with these folks since right after they opened well over 10 years ago. They are honest, courteous, they give great service, and the items they sell are high quality at great prices. If you want to support a great local business and help your car needs, this is the place.
God Bless Hector and his Family and Staff.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Adam K.Chicago, IL3932Dec 11, 2019
Maybe a place to buy parts, but do NOT let them touch your car. After "repairs" were made, they lied to me, claiming test drives were done and the car was running perfectly.... after I picked it up, the car barely lasted a block. This happened TWICE! The second time, the car died, was even hissing and leaking exhaust into to the cabin... all in a sad attempt to replace a clutch.
Bad customer service, Hector does not listen (forgot to even change the oil after 3 reminders), very defensive, refuses to admit nor refund his mistakes. $1100 to replace a clutch, another $400 to fix the damage they made during repairs.
Also, they didn't even tell me they broke the hood release lever, they apparently hot-glued it back on... (see attached photo).
Ended up taking to another shop, found out it they totally misdiagnosed the issue... it was just bad ignition coils, not the clutch at all. Car runs just fine now.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - J. M.Chicago, IL010Sep 16, 2021
Took my car in to have the AC fixed. First off, the guys in the shop rudely treat you like you're an idiot walking in the door. I know a fair amount about cars so I don't care, but if I wasn't experienced I would be intimidated by the experience. The next day they call me to say the car was fine all along and I simply had the settings wrong. I come in and they proceed to show me how the air vents work, without paying any attention to the fact the AC is blasting out hot air. Never occurred to them that working AC involves not just moving air but moving cold air. I would avoid this place, especially considering it is in walking distance of Augusta & Paulina Service Station. I normally go there but it can be tough to get an appointment. I'm starting to see why this Tiger place had openings all day.

I only went for a small issue.
Needed some lug nuts that were missing. They installed them for free and as soon as I bought themHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sergio C.San Francisco, CA01Jun 7, 2022
Tiger Autoparts has the rudest and worse customer service I have ever experienced. I bought an Alternator that I thought I needed. Turned out it was my belts that snapped. I went back to return it for a refund and they refused to take it back. They never mentioned to me that electrical parts cant be returned for a refund. They never told me that when I made the purchase. One of the employees was being a smartass and was asking me if I went swimming with it because the package was a little damp.I told him I had it in my trunk and my trunk has a small leak when it rains. The old man was just as rude telling me that the policy was on the receipt. That I shouldve made sure before I purchased it.a Same people who seemed bothered when I was asking questions about the item before I purchased it. Now Im stuck with a alternator I dont need. Ive heard complaints about their customer service from other people. Not buying from them ever again.

Terrible people that don't know what they're talking about. Very rude, defensive, and just overall a-holes. Terrible manners, I can't say enough bad things about this place. Don't waste your time or money, if they give you a bad part they will NOT give you your money back. Manager even hung up on me when I was voicing my concerns. Terrible terrible TERRIBLE.

Took it to them to fix a "blinking battery light" and the "engine light is on" and he replaced the alternator and pulley and fan belt and some fuses and charged me $669.
Had to take the truck in for an emission test and was rejected and asked him about it and then got a runaround and then the "engine light" went on again and I asked him about it and he said that he wasn't asked to do that. Nonsense from start to finish.
I would post a photo of the invoice which clearly says " customer states engine light is on and the battery light is on. It wasn't on, it flicker on and off.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0
