Treescape Services

I DO NOT recommend Treescape Services. I contracted with them to remove three large tulip poplar trees. To save time, they removed two American Hollies from my yard without permission so they could drop a 30-foot section of tulip poplar rather than several smaller sections of the tree. These beautiful American Hollies were fully mature and provided privacy. It will take at least a decade before the replacement American Hollies are as big as the two that Treescape Services destroyed. When I saw that they had cut down two American Hollies, the owner tried to convince me that they were dead Gum trees. The tree stumps were quite green. Also, I planted the American Hollies, and I knew they weren't Gums or any other type of tree. In addition, the crew left many large American Holly branches on the ground near the stumps. When I asked if they didn't cut down American Hollies, where the large American Hollies branches come from, Brian, the owner replied that they must have blown in. Does that sound credible? It isn't. There was no instance where I authorized any hollies to be even trimmed. The branches were freshly cut. They could have only come from the two trees he destroyed.

What would compel someone to destroy beautiful trees? Brian suffers from "small man syndrome." He is about 5'1", and most of his workers are even shorter. I'm 6'4" and 200 lbs. If you are tall, you will have very likely experienced some small men getting very mad when they deal with you. Testosterone compels some men to make fun of short men. It's unfair, but it happens a lot. Brian was trying to get even for all the people who have made fun of him for his height.
