I would love to give a -10. My mother has been with Tricity for 3 years and seen the doctor once! Dr.shroll. Don't get me wrong she loved the PA and never wanted to see the doctor due to his bed side manners. Problem is her PA could not get any procedures pushed thru due to office procedures. My mother's insurance finally said they would not authorize any more procedures due to the lack of communication with the doctor. He would not send in any of the necessary paperwork that they required. Meanwhile my mom is in terrible pain.
We switched to another doctor and my mom could not be happier. The new doctor was so attentive and paid so much attention to her. He didn't treat her like an 88 year old. His goal is to get her out of pain. PLEAsE don't go here and don't take your elderly parents to this place. They don't care!

Dr. Charles Murphy and staff are exceptional. I've been coming here for 10+ years. They are professional and very knowledgeable. As long as I'm living in south Texas and have considerable pain, TriCity and Dr. Murphy is where I'll come!

I received one of the rudest phone calls from a third party on Tricity Pain Associates' behalf.
According to this company, my account is in collections. After doing some research, I found that Tricity Pain Assoc. was the biller for Phase Four Physiotherapy, where I saw Christian Miranda. Despite asking his front desk staff what I owe for my copay at every visit, they said they would send a bill later.
Never once did I receive a bill, so I called to find out how they could send anything to a collections agency without attempting to reach the patient for payment. I spoke with Nova in TPA's billing office today, and she confirmed that no bills were ever sent via mail, email, or phone call, letting me know I had an outstanding balance.
I don't recommend the practice because there should be no reason you send your patients' accounts to collections and cause them stress just because your staff is too lazy to do their jobs correctly.

This is a repost from 2014 that was removed:

So I made an appointment with Dr. Urfan Dar. When I get there I fill out half a novel of repetitive new patient paperwork (I answered the same question 6 times in one packet). When I went to the counter the girl at the desk was more interested in looking at her friend's cell phone pictures than actually being helpful. I then find out that I would be seeing the PA instead of the doctor I made the appointment for. I insisted on seeing the doctor. He is knowledgable but his bedside manner needs some work (he left the room without even saying bye).

I received a call a week later asking about a follow up appointment (which was nice) but I had already found out that they were not in-network. I declined and said I would be seeing another doctor. To say the least, the girl on the line seemed deeply unhappy to be at work.

I received a bill later and found they charged my insurance $600 for a 15 minute consultation... THAT my friends is ridiculous!!

Honestly I would have considered continuing treatment there if the front desk device was more pleasant and they didn't overcharge my insurance company.

Overall, there are other doctors in the city who have a better staff and better bedside manner.

The doctor's are rude and dismissive (Dr. V, laid his head down and napped while I spoke about my pain) and I was outright abused and traumatized by the PA. After he specifically told melast month that I needed to only call to be prescribed something for muscle spasms, he literally shouted at me for said phone calls and demanded a thank you for not dismissing me from the practice. They know I'm a childhood abuse and SA survivor and are treating my anxiety along with my back pain. I was horribly triggered by him shouting. So, I kindly apologized for the 4 calls over 2 weeks trying to rectify the lack of muscle relaxers and thanked him profusely. After that he smugly told me that though I made this appointment expressly to resolve the lack of muscle relaxers he "of course" couldn't do that. So, after being told by him last month that it would take a single phone call, then being told over the phone that I would have to come into the office to handle it, for which the earliest appointment was in 3 weeks, I now was told (after paying $250 and actually being yelled at) that I will have to have another appointment about this and the next available one is in over a month. Aside from shouting at me, demanding I apologize for calling their office and express my gratitude for being allowed to stay under their care, I will have to wait another full month for the treatment I need to which this PA said "of course", leading me to believe this is their common practice and the way patients are always treated here. After 25 years in pain management treatment for my back I can assure you I have never before had such despicable treatment, rude physicians, nor overall lack of care!

This is my husbands second visit to tricity in Carrollton Tx and again we are going on a 2 hour wait. It's becoming quite clear this doctor has no respect for her patient's time. Will be reporting to doctor who referred us that this office is poorly administered. Won't return.

Matthew Hellman was personable, but when i showed up for an injection at his surgical facility in New Braunfels, he was - at best- disorganized and- at worst - completely heedless of me as a patient. I showed up on time. After getting prepped, i was put on a bed to wait. And wait. An hour later, and 45 minutes after the scheduled start, a nurse popped her head in to say, "he'll just be another 25 minutes." I got up and left. It seemed arrogant to be so cavalier with other's time. A nurse told me they scheduled 40 procedures that day. Very profitable.

Office opens at 8 but they don't Star taking calls till 08:20. The staff is rude. For a med refill they charged 3,000$ for a handshake urin drug and a script refill to my insurance. Not impressed with this place. I would not recommend coming here.

I needed to see a Dr. for my back so I scheduled an appointment with these guys. They scheduled me for an an MRI. The MRI came and went and I never heard back from them. I called to follow up two weeks after the MRI and I was told they do not follow up with you unless the Dr. sees something abnormal in the MRI. So I scheduled my own follow up. I showed up, waited in the waiting area 45 minutes before being told PA Monis was at lunch. I asked why schedule me at lunch? the idiot there said "we really didn't even have you scheduled" LIKE HE'S DOING ME A FAVOR !!!!! I showed him my confirmation text on my phone and he just shrugged his shoulders. I was like WTH.....Requested my MRI results so I could go elsewhere. Stay away from these ambulance chasers!!

      First to Review

I was sent to this COMPANY by my neurosurgeon, refereed in as per protocol . Was refereed to Dr. Darr got passed down to Dr. Sridhar Vasireddy, MD. I felt like I was visiting a used car salesman at his south side office, this location had a foul odor of dirty socks and filthy underwear.

Next appointment I was transferred to another location . . without my knowledge. Didn't find this out until the day before the appointment. I had to drive way across town against my surgeons orders, endangering my life. Only to find no handicap parking, struggling to walk uphill to reach 2 LARGE glass doors which I couldn't open. What pain specialist does not have automatic door openers the disabled? He could afford Ethan Allen decor at his north side location? The patients in the lobby could see me struggling to get in, finally a very old man had to get up and LET ME IN.

As I exited out the cattle shoot through the back door (also glass and very very heavy) , it hit me in the back on my way out. From the looks of the clientele in the lobby, I'd venture to say maybe 3 were actually chronic pain patients.

I had an argument upon check in with his north side office assistant, because the south side office failed to properly enter my insurance data. She didn't believe I had 100% coverage and wanted to argue about it. Took me 20 minutes to convince her to call the south side for that data. She became angry and tried her best to force me to give her CASH only in an attempt to extract a Co-Pay.

I have called my neurosurgeon and suggested she not refer any more patients to this clinic. Quote "I would not send my dog there"

The office staff couldn't even quote the proper address when I HAD to call to find this second, which caused me to get lost going up there. I had to stop by THE MORGUE where that receptionist made three different calls for me, in repeated attempts to find the exact location. Bless her heart without her I never would have found out, I won't be making that trip again.

What pain doctor puts very very expensive heavy glass doors in a pain clinic that could smash and cripple any elderly person who enters, insanity abounds at this clinic with forethought of a common flea.

These doctors are not practicing the Hypocratic Oath, and I saw no earnest concern for my welfare at all. It was a struggle, an argument, an inconvenience and did nothing but exacerbate my pain levels to the point of NO RETURN.

I did try to call these doctors before I wrote this review. Their office manager must be a very busy lady. She couldn't be bothered to return my call. Where I intended to beg her to STOP SELLING MY CONTACT information to medical sales companies. I have everyone from orthopedic surgeons calling to heating pad sales. THIS is was what prompted such a scathing review. The sales calls continue from 8 AM to 8 PM.

And NO this dr did nothing for my pain, issued no medications. All these people did was cause me MORE PAIN and aggravation. This is the LAST thing a disabled person needs.
