What a fantastic atmosphere! Everyone was so friendly on a Saturday afternoon. Busy, but not in the way where people working came across as too stressed to accommodate. In fact, their relaxed attitudes really put me at ease.
It was my first time here recently, and I will continue coming back as long as Christian is around. He is a Master Stylist and truly understands how to work with my hair. I'm personally not great at vocalizing how I want my hair cut, but because of his skills and insight, it's like he can read my mind and delivered a fantastic outcome! Great brow work, too!
And sure enough, it began raining just before my appointment was finished! They were so kind to offer me coffee and let me chill out at the salon while I waited for the rain to die down. They couldn't have been nicer. Thank you!

RUINED MY HAIR IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME! got a bleach and tone and it seemed fine, definitely thinner after and was a bit upset, but a month went by and i realized it was SO MUCH WORSE! there are entire CHUNKS missing, soooo much thinner, and significantly damaged. i cried every night for weeks and never felt so ugly. i live about a block away and every time i walk by i have ptsd flash backs. i have spent so much trying to repair it: extensions, hair pills, oils, masks. i had a very esteemed hair stylist take a look at my hair and she said it wasn't the bleach that did this but his CUTTING SKILLS. why was he coloring and cutting my hair? it was done like 6 months ago by a blonde young guy that seemed fairly new. He was quite rude to me too. this is not a very professionals review, but i cannot hold back my emotion about this, genuinely bubbling with rage.

Master craftsman and Via Rose owner Patrick Fuller has been cutting my hair for 25+ years and I have been thrilled with every single haircut. Ivan is hands down the best colorist and certified balayage artist in Chicago. Before finding him in West Hollywood 4 years ago and visiting every "top salon" in LA I walked away with mediocre results. Ivan consistently delivers creative customized results. He's also been cutting my hair for the last year and has delivered beautiful results that make my balayage look more expensive. I wish he could blowout my hair on a weekly basis. I am lucky to have have him as my stylist and I recommend him to all my friends because his work is high end and consistent.

My stylist of over 20 years retired and I've been on the hunt for someone new. Nervous, I waited for months and months (too long) and I really needed a haircut. A friend/coworker recommended this great place in Andersonville, Via Rose Hair Studio, and more specifically, Michael. Everyone in the salon seemed very happy and were extremely welcoming. Michael was very professional... and on time. We had a great conversation. We spoke about my likes and dislikes, my lifestyle and my overall needs for my hair. In the end, I am grateful to say that I have found a new salon home, and my new stylist... Thank you everybody at Via Rose, Michael especially, for a wonderful experience. See you in two weeks!!!
