Wow, have never had Banh Mi but it was great. Tasty, the bread was super fresh and the people were friendly and helpful. I will most definitely come again.

Delicious and unique! I had a veggie and rice bowl with garden rolls and a fried egg. Beautiful presentation too. Highly recommend!

Been here a couple of times and their Banh Mi is so good, if they have the lemongrass beef get it. Also the fried marinated tofu amazing. I really hope this place does well in Tyler.

My mom and I were out shopping and got hungry. This popped up as nearby on my phone and I love trying new foods. Was not disappointed! So good. I had the house special Banh Mi and my mom had the house special salad with the Vietnamese dressing. Both were very fresh and delicious.

Very nice clean and simple place with great food made with fresh ingredients. I accidentally ordered a sandwich and they changed it to a bowl without any problem.

What an incredible find in Tyler, Texas!! The two young guys who own "What Sub", Trac and Ryan, are obviously obsessed with quality. In talking with them, I was blown away to find out that EVERYTHING is made on site, from the bread to the sauces! They were making their own pork stock with roasted bones when I visited...that's dedication--and you can taste it!
Regardless of how you like your Banh Mi, you're going to be impressed. The bread is light and has just the right combination of softness and crunchy crust. You can't miss that it's made on site--so much better than store-bought! I split both a grilled pork sandwich and a house special sandwich with a friend, and both had an amazing array of flavors--from garlic to lemongrass to barbecue to?? The homemade crispy spring rolls could be a new obsession, and at a buck apiece you can buy enough for a party--although some of mine didn't even make it home! My car smelled amazing on the drive--I could just sit in it and enjoy the aromas for hours...
In the works are more vegetarian items and noodle dishes, which are bound to be great. My only regret is that I live over 300 miles away--which is probably a good thing since I would probably eat here several times a week! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE support these two dedicated entrepreneurs. I can hardly wait until my next visit to Tyler, because "What Sub" will be my first stop when I hit town...congrats gentleman!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
