We initially found Aric and Wilson Glass through our contractor when remodeling for our bathrooms. They did custom glass enclosures for our bath tubs. So far we are happy with the glass doors and are certain that Wilson Glass will help address questions and issues if we have any. We also used them for window pane replacements, and they did a great job.
The only tip for fellow yelpers is that, they seem more reachable over phone than emails. So try calling!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Emma, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. 99 percent of people don't and I appreciate your effort. You just let us know if you need anything with those showers Ill handle it. -Aric

They would not work on bathroom glass door that needed to be replaced and one that was loose. They said the due to liability issues. They must not need business. Very disappointed.
I spoke with two other companies and they have no issues with this.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

The reason we only repair our work is because we know the quality that went into it. We can also look up the warranties and manufacturers or part numbers, important in getting compatible replacements.
There are a lot of factors that must be considered in doing a repair. The original measurements must be precise. That needs to be accurately reflected in the dimensions of the enclosure. The installation must follow the original design. We may not be able to fix something that was problematic from the get go.
The original manufacturer &/or part numbers may be hard to track down. This is especially true for framed enclosures as a tempering logo does not indicate the manufacturer. We can't necessarily match a finish or order replacement parts. With frameless enclosures, our hardware may not match the precise holes or cut-outs in your existing glass. If the hinges weren't aligned properly and right-side up, holes may need to be redrilled, leading to tile repair & risking damage. With our own installs, we know things like that the weight of the glass is within the weight rating of the hinges. Since we can't attest to the original quality, we don't know if a repair would meet your expectations or be up to our own high standards. We can't transform something substandard, no matter how much someone insists.
While your showers may be of high quality, we can't know that going in. We are glad you were able to find some other companies that provided the service you were looking for. Hopefully, it turned out to be a straightforward fix.
Our website does mention that we don't perform outside repairs. However, based on your feedback, we'll be updating it to provide more detail. I'm optimistic that in the future, when a company doesn't provide the product or service you're after, you'll decide not to leave them a poor review and instead choose a business that can meet your needs. - MM S.San Francisco, CA021Apr 21, 2023
We had a broken mirror pane in a piece of hanging artwork that Wilson Glass fixed at a reasonable price and minimal hassle. I dropped it off and it was ready in an hour. Hard to find great service like this- they are amazing!

Aric and Michael did a fantastic job on an intricate installation on our display area in our living room. Wilson Glass has done work for us in the past and has always been on time and within budget. This job took much longer than anticipated but it came out great. There was a bit of a discrepancy from the initial bid but Aric was extremely fair and accommodating. I would highly recommend these guys for frameless shower doors too. They are a family business that cares about customer service.

We needed to replace some glass shower door edge trim and Jason knew exactly what would work best. He was professional, efficient, and nice... while that sounds normal, those simple & admirable traits are hard to find these days so I'm grateful to have Jason and Wilson Glass as a resource. I will happily return when I need more things or when I want to do a remodel.

I purchased a new desk for my vanity area and wanted to get a 40" x 20" piece of tempered glass to protect the desktop - no frills (like padded feet) necessary. I got quotes from a number of different vendors around the Bay Area and found a huge amount of difference.
Wilson Glass quoted me one of the lowest prices at about $90 and others quoted me up to $200 and beyond. I went with Wilson Glass for both the price and reviews and I wasn't disappointed; during a short holiday week between Christmas and New Years, they were able to get my piece of glass completed in four business days.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mariano M.Hercules, CA15163Dec 1, 2020

I'm an architect and I've worked with many glass dealers. I've used Wilson Glass a couple of times now and been disappointed both times. Rather grumpy service, even when spending a lot of money. I had to repeatedly call to ask for a promised proposal. When I finally got the proposal, it seemed really high, but my client was still interested in moving forward. I ended up contacting the manufacturer to ask a question, and when they heard the details of my proposal, they were aghast. Wilson had marked it up close to 100% and added some false shipping and crating charges. Wilson evidently hadn't even gotten a real price from the manufacturer and had just given me an inflated price. I'll never go there again, even though their showroom is handy.

Anyone who has worked with me knows I would bend over backwards for any customer and I would take a loss to do the right thing. I am nothing if not honest and kind to a fault.
I have never met this "architect"
He came in with his customer without warning and demanded information on a custom glass from CANADA and my employee was caught off guard. My employee tried to accommodate Scott and he instead went direct to the manufacturer and finagled his way into ordering the glass probably posing as a Wilson Glass employee. He also refused to pay shipping. How do we get glass here from CANADA without a shipping cost Scott? I never heard about this interaction until I saw this review.
Anyway, I emailed and called Scott M the architect in Berkeley and asked him what happened and asked why he didnt talk to me about it because I would have done anything but instead he laughed at me on the phone and posted this review that says I am trying to rip people off which is a direct attack on my honor as far as I can tell and I think about this every single day because I am honest and I work hard and My father and his father were also honest glaziers in the bay area. I have worked with most of the architects and designers in the bay area and I have never seen such a petty tantrum by an adult. Scott McGlashan architecture is banned from Wilson Glass. I suggest using an architect who doesnt use fake reviews for his company or post paid articles as news worthy. - Bern S.San Francisco, CA1353Aug 18, 2021
My wife & I engaged Wilson Glass for a small job (2 bathroom mirrors). The fellow who came out to take measurements (?Jason) didn't seem to believe in wearing a mask, which we thought was a bit inconsiderate. In contrast, Ken & Aaron who later did the actual installation were correctly masked from the start, very courteous, careful (e.g., in applying silicone caulking to seal the mirror edge from water intrusion) & efficient. They were great ambassadors for the business, & we'd very gladly have them back again for any future projects!
