Outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail! I'm very happy about hiring David to help design, build, and install my custom floor-to-ceiling built-ins for my home office. It has really elevated the look of our home and the quality of the materials and finish are really evident. David was able to accommodate many custom features like smart lighting, a ladder system, and matching the stain exactly to my desk. Overall, my wife and I are thrilled with the final result and the room speaks for itself. Highly recommend.

From start to finish Dave was very helpful and professional. He gave us a tour of his shop, showed us a number of projects in various stages of construction and explained how our piece would be made. He visited our home to verify measurements and to finalize the design. He stayed in touch throughout the build process to insure that we were happy with the results.
The piece was completed ahead of schedule and is absolutely beautiful. His attention to detail and craftsmanship are amazing. Dave and his assistant were very respectful of our home during installation, using drop cloths throughout the area and - unlike most contractors -taking great care to prevent the storm door from slamming as they entered and left the house. They took their time installing the piece and even committed to return to add the door handles when these are delivered.

Dave did our master bedroom closet. Project was little challenging as our ceiling was sloped on the sides, we were not getting much height for the closet.
Dave and his crew really did a phenomenal job!! It’s not just the height they achieved but also the work they did was amazing!
They are very nice and accommodating as well!
End result was beyond our expectations!!!

Our experience with Dave McKay Custom Cabinets has been more than gratifying! For years I've wanted custom kitchen cabinets and finally had the budget to make it happen. Dave is a consummate professional and a skilled craftsman; he listened closely to our requests and delivered a beautiful custom kitchen that we will cherish for years to come. Dave is kind, patient and incredibly hard-working. He didn't hound us for money, but rather asked for a 50% deposit at the onset of the project and not a penny more until the project was completed and we were completely happy. I wholeheartedly recommend McKay's Custom Cabinets!
After months of dealing with unreliable contractors and outrageous quotes, I found David who is truly a treasure. I showed him the empty space and told him how I want to use it. He listened, measured, designed, built, and delivered with no hassle. He was responsive, patient and the craftsmanship blew my mind away. He paid attention to every detail - from custom making the perfectly matched crown molding at the bottom of the desk into the wall crown molding (flush and clean) to wire management, convenience features, lighting and any other details you don't think of as a customer until you own the piece. We will be using him again. I absolutely recommend him. You cannot find too many contractors like David.

The Team at McKay Custom Cabinets did an amazing job on our custom cabinets in our newly renovated townhome. They worked closely with my wife throughout the whole lifecycle of the process including conceptual design, onsite visits at the plant and my house before anything was built. They work towards a deadline and any refinements that were necessary. Our requirements evolved a bit and they were able to accommodate them and stay on time and budget. They maintained a positive and collaborative demeanor from start to finish. I would absolutely work with them again.
Absolutely love the work completed. I had a unique request of 2 custom closets split by a desk over a radiator. Dave listened to my every request and created exactly what I wanted, couldn’t be more satisfied with the outcome!
It is an absolute pleasure working with David Mckay, whose cabinetry now graces two rooms in our house. The first project, involving the installation of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, was comparatively straightforward, but the second called for a combination of cupboards, standard drawers, file drawers, bookshelves, counter space, and a window seat. David rose to this challenge with his customary creativity and care, exceeding our expectations, which were already high. Most of the work is done offsite, minimizing disruptions, and on the day of installation, everything proceeded with quiet efficiency. We could not be happier!

Dave did a wonderful job from planning to completion. It is clear in speaking with him he has a great deal of experience and that he takes great pride in his work. He and his crew were very professional and cleaned up after they were finished. There was no cutting corners and the final result was a beautiful set of built-in bookshelves at a reasonable price. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have this type of work done!
David was professional and was easy to communicate with. We made a few alterations after coming to his warehouse and that made all the difference. The work was custom and well worth it. Quick turnaround time. Highly recommend !
Dave McKay built and installed custom kitchen cabinets and a master bathroom vanity for our new home. He loves his craft. He and his team of craftsmen were extraordinary to work with from start to finish. They have great communication skills, meet "every" commitment, were on time and cleaned up. Seriously no exaggeration. They had great attention to detail with a very positive demeanor. Our collaboration started with a visit to his facility followed by an engaging and interactive design process where he worked one on one with my wife, our architect's sketches and photographs of various features we shared with him. His design process provided options to consider up front but allowed for enough flexibility to retrofit some last minute additions which we had not envisioned. He accommodated our requests with little hesitation and extraordinary precision. I look forward to the opportunity to work with Dave and his team again.
Dave is a true professional. His skills as a cabinet maker are remarkable. He listened to our needs, suggested a solution, measured our space and drew the design all in one visit. When it came time for installation he took his time to make sure it's perfect. The end result is amazing and we couldn't be happier.
