Owner Bobby has been involved in the pizza business his entire life. His father came to America from Italy in the 1970s and became a successful pizzeria owner. He taught his son the business the old-fashioned way, by bringing him to work and learning by observation.

After doing a little research, Bobby found a pizzeria for sale in the same town his father taught him the trade and knew that it was his opportunity to get back into the game. Thus, in 2022, Bobby purchased Sal’s Pizzeria, which had served Oneonta's community since 1977, and rebranded it to Sal’s New Classic Pizzeria. Bobby puts an emphasis on quality, believing that great pizza is made by great people that serve a great community. Drop by for a slice and say hi - we don't bite!
