Remodeling. I'm trying to get work done in my house after moving in a few months ago and it just seems that everything here is so overpriced. I was quoted $3,400 to install a french door $1700 to paint 1 room and $8830 for a built in office space. So that's almost $14,000 to get an office space ready. I was also quoted that for a small bathroom remodel. Installing a new ceiling fan in the living room, light in another room and a new outlet will cost almost $1500 and that does not include the dry wall repair after the installations. Is this fair pricing? I feel like since moving here everyone is trying to price gouge. I'm feeling overwhelmed and regretting getting a house that was not fully up to date.See more…
