For 2 years now, "Power in a Shower" (a Bronx NY non-profit organization) has been providing showers via mobile shower trucks to the homeless ad unhoused within NYC and Connecticut. Several weeks ago, the mobile truck was vandalized and heavily damaged resulting in more than $3,000 worth of damage.
Any support you can contribute to our efforts to provide showers to the homeless would be appreciated. Showers and good hygiene prevent the onset of diseases, help with presentation in job interviews and in doctors visits, and help the homeless feel better in general despite their circumstances.
