Update: I brought up my concerns to the rep & he said he had no idea the proposal was written up like that 😑 I told him I won't be signing anything til' that's squared away & contract has a concrete price. Looking into other companies for estimates, thank you everyone for ALL the amazing advice! I don't know where else to go & ask, Facebook was no help. So we have to have our roof replaced, the company we've been dealing with took a while but they finally sent over the contract for us to sign. One thing that didn't sit right with me is that under total cost of job they just put TBD, & I don't know if I feel comfortable signing a contract with no real estimate, what's to say I sign it & then they change the pricing on us, because we signed knowing the price could change. They also didn't itemize & break down the cost of all the work that was going to be done, it all just seems shady to me, so I am asking if this is normal practice when it comes to dealing with roofing companies & contracts. The only reason I know what to look for & what questions to kind of ask is because we have had our roof replaced before & you learn some things, thank you in advance for any advice that might help us out.See more…
