Looking for reputable HVAC company. Company we have used for 10 plus years came out on after hours call last night t 8 pm for heat pump not working. This company just did the bi annual service three weeks ago on it . Took an act of god to get someone out . Then they Said we had a bad breaker in fuse box. Quoted $550.00 to change breaker. But it will be a day or two to get it. Found at Home Depot online search in 3 minutes for 14.95. Asked why so expensive? He says it’s just what we charge. WHAT?? Then in a matter of seconds with his supervisor on the phone they said they would do the job for $150. We opted to do ourselves. Picked up part changed by a friend who knows what they are doing. Guess what system still not working. Called them back. Well they have no idea what could be wrong. Will come back this morning. 🤬 We really need to find a company that is honest and can do a good job for a fair price. This system is only 5 years old and this company put in our home. I’m fine paying for a service to be performed. But this was just over the top.See more…

Does anyone have a recommendation for an air conditioning company? I have two systems in my house, that I’m estimating are 14 years old. I’ve had the same company for 25 years and they’ve already been out twice. They check the system and tell me it’s hot outside and the systems are under stress due to the high temperatures. Its hot every year in Georgia and I haven’t had a big problem. I have them set at 74° and it’s 80 to 85° in my house. I don’t remember this happening before. For the first time ever, my electrical bill was through the roof! Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.See more…
