For any of you who have had foundation work done, any recommendations? We had our builder out right before the 10 year warranty period and told us it was normal settling and the foundation was doing its job (yeah, right). They even (pun) told us that the foundation was NOT even when the home was built. Now we've experienced some cracks in the brickwork and masonry as well as a sticky front door and storm door. We want to have this checked out before any major problem arises. I'd appreciate any reviews/recommendations. Thanks.See more…

We were told by our realtor when we moved here from out of state, that in Texas people need to water their foundation to keep it from cracking. She suggested we install a bubbler around the foundation. Does anyone know if this really necessary? Would the sprinklers be enough?See more…
