Scheduled piercing for my daughter, we have not visited yet. Did not like their no rescheduling policy so I knocked off a star.

Great experience. Dr. Nwaneri was knowledgeable and friendly and put me and my girl at ease. The procedure was quick and painless for the most part. I would highly recommend them!

My 10 year old granddaughter and I had our ears pierced today. Dr Michael Nwaneri was wonderful! As is his staff. I recommend them highly.
Thank you for your kind review. We really appreciate your patronage.

I found Omega Peds while looking for medical ear piercing that did not require your child to be a current patient AND that used the Blomdahl system/products which are well-proven to minimize (and in most cases, eliminate) the risk of infection AS WELL AS the risk of developing nickel/metal sensitivity since this system uses studs made of medical-grade plastic or titanium. (My daughter has VERY sensitive skin and I have had major sensitivity to nickel and other metals in earrings my entire life,to the point that it prevented me from even wearing earrings for many years. Even now I have to be very careful about what earrings I wear and for how long, etc. so that was a big concern for us!) I also currently work as school nurse, and prior to that worked as a pediatric/newborn nurse in both hospital and private practice settings — as such, I have seen WAY too many issues/complications with infected piercings in ALL age groups as a result of using “traditional” piercing methods (piercing guns like used at Claire’s by people uneducated in the use of sterile technique and/or hand-piercing with “sterilized” needles but metal studs inserted). So, no, PLEASE do not take your INFANT to Claire’s for piercings!!!!!
Anyway, off my nurse “soapbox” and on to my actual review of our experience .. We saw Dr. Nwaneri and let me just say — “WOW!” He. Is. Incredible! Extremely friendly, EXCELLENT bedside manner, VERY knowledgeable, EXTRAORDINARILY patient!! From reading the other reviews here, it sounds like there is more than one doctor who does the piercings (the other whom it sounds like needs to specialize in perhaps radiology instead of pediatrics? Lol) —so do yourself and your child a favor and CALL Omega Pediatrics before scheduling online to ask which doctor will be performing piercings on whatever particular day you are needing (or see if you can specifically request or schedule with Dr. Nwaneri!!!)
Full disclaimer: my daughter is NOT an infant/toddler. She is now 15 and this was our 2nd time getting her ears pierced. We waited until she was 12 to do it the first time due to her sensitive skin and high anxiety/fear of painful procedures/needles. We used the same medical piercing system (Blomdahl) the first time, but it was done at what is apparently a nationwide franchise (?) of medical ear piercing facilities (they have locations staffed by doctors and nurses in many major US cities). We had a great outcome there in terms of ZERO infection, minimal pain from the procedure, and no signs of metal reactivity once she switched to regular earrings after 6 weeks. Unfortunately, the nurse did NOT do a good job with positioning of the piercings — which we didn’t really discover until the original earrings came out and she started trying to wear more dangly or small hoop-style earrings. The holes were too high on the lobe for any hoop/dangle earrings to sit properly and look right and then we discovered that one hole was misaligned through the ear at an angle, so she kept having trouble finding the exit hole when she would change earrings and then there would be pain and irritation from the effort. So, after about 9 months, we decided to let the holes grow up, and try again after a couple of years had passed. And now here we are!
That said, after that experience, she was VERY particular about where the holes would be positioned and alignment/evenness. We told Dr. Nwaneri of our previous experience and he was SO patient — had us both check the placement markers and repositioned a couple of times to make sure she was satisfied before he moved forward with the piercing. He made it CLEAR that he would start over and reposition the markers as many times as we needed to make sure it was where we wanted it!
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because there was NO indication ANYWHERE when booking the appt on either the website or in any follow-up confirmation messages that masks were REQUIRED for entry at the office AND they would not provide one. (We had to swap cars last minute and had left ours in other vehicle!)… – show
Thank you for coming to Omega Pediatrics for services. I know you had other choices but chose us. We are thankful. Do not hesitate to contact us with questions or if you ever need any of our services.

Brought my 5 year old daughter here for ear piercing. The process was seamless from beginning to end. Dr. Nwaneri was so patient and kind to my daughter. She was nervous but the entire process took less than 10 mins. I would definitely recommend this practice.
Thank you for your review. We do appreciate your decision to come to us. We are glad we met your expectations.

Overall — it wasn’t a great experience for a first time mommy at all. Would definitely not recommend this place. Paid $108 to schedule appt upfront. Front desk was nice Took us to a weird part of the office with no pictures, the place was not kid friendly, just an odd, gloomy looking room. The entire office doesn’t look or feel like a real doctor’s office. Doc was not personable at all from selecting the earrings to not allowing us to record & to appear annoyed at having to replace the dot a few times before moving forward. The Doc actually didn’t seem like a real doctor.:-/ He did give us samples for cleaning her ears which we appreciated & the earrings look great.

The doctor did a horrible job. They were not even close to the middle of the ear and they were not even at all. I had to take them out the next day. They also never responded to my complaints.
The Joneses, you must let the readers know why you approved the spot for the piercing, accepted the outcome after the piercing before leaving the facility and then you come here to complain about the position later. You have to take responsibility for your decision since we pierce where parents approve. If indeed you did not like the spot, accept that it was your mistake and stop trying to take it out on us. Readers are no fools and they can see that something is not right with your review. Theprocedure for our process is clear. We keep placing spots and cleaning off until it is acceptable to you prior to piercing. We also make sure you are satisfied before you leave the clinic. We understand that people may feel they made the wrong decision later however, we expect that people are responsible enough to accept what they chose. We hope you do not come back to us again since we were unable to satisfy you at this time. There are many ear piercing places to choose from and they may be better suited to serve your unique situation.… – show

I am very disappointed with this place, I had read very good reviews, but our experience was not the best. Dr. Mcneris has no patience to make the baby earrings and was in a bad mood the whole time. Making the earrings in this place is not economical and he made one higher than the other.

Great place to get your little one's ears pierced if you don't feel comfortable taking them to the mall. The doctor was very gentle and caring. It was worth every penny to me.
Thank you for choosing us for your ear piercing needs. God Bless

The whole experience was wonderful and my daughter will carry this good memory of her getting her ears pierced for the rest of her life! I definitely recommend this clinic and the doctor to everyone!

My daughter is 6 years and had never had her ears pierced. She can also be very scared of medical procedures. But our experience here was a breeze and it was finely done. Thanks, Omega Pediatrics!!!
