Consultations

We offer first opinion as well as second opinion consults. Our friendly and experienced vets and nurses will make you feel welcomed and cared for.

Vaccinations

We keep all our patients up to date with their vaccinations. Our clients receive yearly reminders about their pets’ vaccinations so they never miss them.

Dentals

Dental health is critical to your pet’s health and wellbeing. We keep their teeth in tip top condition with our advanced dental equipment.

Sterilisations

Do you have a new puppy or kitten and need to get them sterilised? We perform sterilisations daily and in the safest environment possible.

X-rays

Injured paw? Worried something has got stuck in their stomach? We can take all the x-rays necessary to make the diagnosis.

Ultrasound

If we need a better look at soft tissue we are equipped with our own inhouse ultrasound. We also have access to specialists should we need their input.

Surgery

We pride ourselves on our surgical skills. We are able to perfom many of the more advanced surgeries that others vets can’t

I was recommended to this vet and I could not be more grateful for the entire staff here, including reception and the doctors of course. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly but mainly because they are hands on. My dog loves coming to the vet as he gets all the attention. They deep dice all aspects in order to deal with the situation best they can. I would definitely recommend Ou Kaapse Vet if you are in need for all round assistance and great results

I cannot recommend this vet enough! After a terrible experience at my previous vet in Green Point, a friend recommended Ou Kaapse Vet to me. A bit of a drive from where I live but SO worth it! All of the staff are amazing!! (Vets, nurses and reception included). They are so friendly and willing to help! They genuinely care for animals and want to help you and your pet! It is the first vet that I have seen that stood and listened to everything I had to say in depth before examining my dog. Dr Andrew has been with us every step of the way with my dog's illness. Kept us up to date and checked in to see how she is doing. I have never felt rushed or unheard and have complete trust them! Occasionally I pop into one of the vets in my area (Sea Point/Green Point) just to get some of my dog's food, that is only sold at vets, and the contrast in staff and friendliness is incomparable to Ou Kaapse Vet!!

Andrew has helped me through the most difficult times when I've had problems with my animals. I think he is the best vet ever. He has always shown compassion and love for my animals. Gavin my cat recommends uncle Andrew to all those out there.

My poodle Teddy,was euthanized by Dr Andrew Russik, due to heart failure . He was so kind and compassionate throughout the whole procedure. He had been treating Teddy for his heart condition for many years. He has always been the most wonderfully kind and sympathetic doctor with all my other animals as well. Teddy passed over with love and dignity. Janie Budd is also such a kind, empathic person, who has always exceeded all expectations in her work environment and is loved by everyone. She showed me so much kindness and support on that day, and the days leading up to it. Deane and Olivia were also so kind and supportive, and showed me so much compassion. I highly recommend this practise.

Highly recommend this practice. Had the pleasure of dealing with Dr Alison yesterday. She was very helpful and patient, and both me and my dog, left happy. Will definitely be using them in the future.

Thank you for your amazing service with Nova.. She is on her way to recovery after we thought that we were going to loose her. You guys checked up on her daily 🙏🤗 The service were very good and professional, thanks to the receptionists and Dr Alison Nova is now sitting and staring at the bucket of treats ready to be her old self again 😊🐶
