The Ctenanthe features long oval leaves with a variety of unique patterns ranging from yellow stripes to green stripes.  As a member of the prayer plant family the Ctenanthe also folds up its leaves at night.

CARE GUIDE

Light:
The Ctenanthe thrives best in Medium-bright indirect light, but can also tolerate low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight as the leaves will burn.

Water:
Water your Ctenanthe when the top 25-50% of the soil becomes dry. This plant is not drought tolerant but it will forgive the occasional missed watering.

Temperature:
Ctenanthe plants prefer warmer temperatures, somewhere between 65°-85° F.

Why are my yellowing and dropping?
Your Ctenanthe is probably being overwatered, make sure you are keeping a consistent watering schedule. If your plant is over watered for too long your plant may experience root rot.

Why does my Ctenanthe have brown leaf tips and edges?
This is likely due to underwatering. We recommend watering your plant thoroughly when the top 25-50% of soil is dry.
