Pyrenees Cycling Routes
All of the cycling routes listed below can be cycled from the doorstep of the Pyrenees Cycling Lodge in Saint Savin. These cycling routes include the classic 8 Tour de France climbs of the Pyrenees that are right on our doorstep; Col du Tourmalet, Col du Soulor, Col d’Aubisque, Col de Spandelles, Col des Borderes, Luz Ardiden, Hautacam and Cauterets-Cambasque. It also shows some of the lesser known hidden gem climbs of the Pyrenees, like Cirque de Troumouse, Col de Tentes, Col du couraduque and Lac du Estaing which are unmissable for the area…take our word for it!

Hautacam
19km from Pyrenees Cycling Lodge to Hautacam. A Tour de France classic, one which many riders say is the hardest in the Pyrénées.

Col d’Aubisque & Col du Soulor
Perhaps the most beautiful road in the world. A true classic which was on the route of the 1910 Tour de France. Unmissable.

Col du Tourmalet Loop East to West
The most famous and most ridden Tour de France col of all! Combine it with the Pyrenean foothills for a grand day out.

One of our hidden gems soon to be a Tour de France climb, Spandelles! A beautiful looptaking you over the east side of Spandelles and the north side of Soulor. Add Aubsique in for a longer and tougher day out.

Beautiful climb to Cauterets-Cambasque then on up to the wonderful Pont d’Espagne in the National Park.

An Unmissable hidden gem in the area with a quiet road, remote landscape and jaw dropping scenery.

Lac d’Estaing
An easier climb up this wonderful glacial valley. At the top it opens up to reveal this small lake surrounded by 3000m high peaks. Magical and Unmissable. A perfect warm up ride if you arrive in the afternoon.

Ride to Col du Tourmalet then continue on up on the gravel road for 4km. Descend back to Tourmalet and take the long way home.
