In this type of therapy, a person can gain more awareness and insight into their circumstances. Counseling can also assist with acceptance of situations, obtain healthy ways to cope with those circumstances, and create healthier relationships.

COUPLES COUNSELING

Is a form of psychotherapy that can assist you and your partner with improving your relationship. A therapist can help you rebuild your relationship. Couples therapy can address a range of relationship problems including communication issues, trust issues, work/relationship balance, infidelity, parenting issues, and frequent arguments.

CHILD THERAPY

Psychological therapy with children includes playing, talking, expression through art, and many other activities. Therapy helps children manage their symptoms so that they may effectively function at home and school. Parent involvement is expected in order to help with a child’s behaviors and feelings.

FAMILY THERAPY

A form of psychotherapy that can assist family members in improving communication and resolving conflict. Family therapy sessions can provide you with skills to increase family connections and help you through difficult times.

Psychoeducational assessments

A psycho-educational assessment uses a variety of tools to create a complete perspective of your child’s cognitive abilities and academic skills. These assessments are conducted by a licensed school psychologist and can provide a diagnosis of a learning disability, developmental disability, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). They can also identify any other behavioral, emotional, social, or psychological issue.

Gifted

Gifted

Gifted testing is done to determine if a child is intellectually gifted. This might be a good assessment for your child if they appear to be performing above grade level. Gifted testing is required for placement in special gifted programs.

Autism

Autism

In an autism evaluation, a child is evaluated in the areas of social interaction, behavior, communication, sensory and adaptive behavior, emotional, academic, and cognitive functioning.

Social/ Emotional

This form of assessment can be helpful for when your child is experiencing emotional or behavioral issues. Testing can be appropriate if your child is experiencing substantial problems in areas like; hyperactivity, irritability/anger, difficulty concentrating, sleep problems, impulsivity, social withdrawal, lack of remorse for misbehavior, etc.

Developmental Delay

Developmental Delay

In a developmental delay assessment, a child’s motor skills, language skills, ability to follow directions and pay attention, learning ability are measured.  The results of this comprehensive evaluation can help determine your child’s need for therapeutic services, intervention, or school placement.

Learning Disability

Learning Disability

If your child is struggling in school, having your child evaluated would be helpful. A learning evaluation can provide you and your child’s teachers valuable information about your child’s strengths and weaknesses. It can also tell you what type of support would be helpful for your child to strive. An evaluation is necessary for a child to be diagnosed with a learning disorder.
