Kingfisher Real Estate announced Sue Plein as its newest sales associate.

Originally from Illinois, Plein and her family relocated to Southwest Florida in 1979. Plein worked in the mortgage industry for many years and was instrumental as a mortgage broker in lending for the construction and development of South Seas Plantation, Captiva Island, along with the beaches of Fort Myers Beach, Vanderbilt and Naples.

Plein’s background and passion for the area led her to her current career as a realtor (2008) and tenured vacation rental specialist. She has earned the Sanibel Captiva Island Specialist designation as well as the ‘RSPS’ resort and second home property certification.

When Plein is not hard at work, she and her husband spend time on the water. She believes “you just can’t get the whole island experience without getting out on the water.”

Plein also loves spending time with her daughter who is a realtor in South Carolina, and her son who has a local Eco-tour business (New Wave Eco Charters).
