13.5-Inch Cast Iron Braiser

Sale price$ 195.00
Finish: Seasoned

Introducing our 13.5-inch braiser. It features a wide base, shallow sloped sides and two short handles. It's ideal for oven roasting, shallow frying, braising and open fire cooking. The cooking surface is machined smooth for non-stick performance, just like our skillets.

We offer our cookware in two finishes: seasoned or bare. Our seasoned skillets have already been seasoned by us with two coats of our oil blend, made of canola, grapeseed and sunflower oil. Our bare skillets are dipped in mineral oil to protect them in transit. Just wash off the oil and season it however you like.

Highend quality

I have to say that I was astonished how lightweight the braiser was! I need a bigger cooktop for actual cooking, but it sits dead flat on the stove and is awesome for baking! The last apple pie got only positive feedback!

Complements my 10" & 12". Sargazer skillets

Looked beautiful after first oven seasoning with Grape-seed oil. After 2 more oven seasonings, the seasoned coating is building up nicely and it has already become VERY non-stick. The inner surfaces of all 3 of my Stargazers are HIGHLY polished, and have taken longer to form a very durable surface than my other comparable brands BUT to a surface similar to collectable vintage CI over time. I am now using it carefully to build up that non-stick durability.

Worth the wait

I had almost given up on seeing the pan but well worth the wait I’m only having one issue with it. I don’t have enough burner to heat it properly. even leaving the pan preheat it gets cold on the outside edges. Once it’s loaded up you have to constantly stir to cook what’s on the edge not the pans fault I don’t heat it over medium high. I don’t want it to warp The pan is perfectly smooth and is the only cast iron pan I own that I can make over easy eggs in without breaking them. This is my first stargazer and it won’t be my last thank you.

Best Pans Ever

Got mine unseasoned. Seasoned them myself and I love the result.

In the rotation.

I’ve been using cast-iron for decades. This pan is definitely in the rotation and if you come out with a lid, it will be the rotation.

My third pan, it’s as good as the skillets.

I have the other two skillets; this is very similar and just as good. I have used it about a dozen times now. The seasoning is starting to build up. I like the way it sits flat on the stove; no spinning. I accidentally overheated it a couple times (defective stove) and it did not warp. The size is great, big enough for most anything I need to do.
