Sword roofing did an amazing job with the removal and replacement of our roof, on time and on schedule, Curry was a pleasure to work with, he answered all our questions and concerns and was in contact every step of the way by phone and providing pictures while I was away at work, and besides having the new roof you would of never known that him and his team were there !! Johnny and the entire roof crew were great as well. They scheduled me quickly and were always responsive and made sure it was done correctly. All they guys in the office did a fantastic job dealing with our insurance company, who made everything as difficult as possible. They fought for what was right and was successful in my opinion. The fellas that installed the roof also did an amazing job. The work looks incredible as well, as I stepped out to see progress time to time, I didn't see at any point where they cut corners. They also did a very good job of cleaning up. Highly recommend!
Curry helped us with some storm damage to our recently purchased home in New Richmond. Curry helped us navigate through the entire insurance process and assisted us in getting our roof replaced. If it wasn’t for SWORD I would still have a damaged roof and would still be dealing with insurance. The install for our roof was completed in 1 day with a beautiful Owen’s Corning roof. I’m so happy and grateful with the entire process, you will not be disappointed in working with Sword or Curry.

The company installed a skylight for me. It was a fairly difficult project but they handled it well. They kept coming back until I was satisfied and did extra work that was not in the original quote at no extra charge. My experience is that they put the customer first.

SWORD installed a roof for me in September 2023 on a small single story house. Pricing was comparable to others in the area. The team was very efficient from start to finish. It was roughly 3 weeks from time of accepting the contract to the time the whole thing was finished. Their team worked with me to pick color / vents / etc and seemed thorough and knowledgeable. Overall very happy with the experience and the roof looks nice.
I’m very happy with my roof services by SWORD. Brady Gregory was who I worked with, and dude was incredibly helpful the entire time. He was also incredibly transparent, which is something you don’t get anymore. At the house exactly when they told us, Incredibly fast at getting the job done, and it looks great! Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Wow, what amazing quality and service. It started with Brady Gregory walking us thru the process and literally walking us thru the entire day of service with almost hourly updates. The crew showed up early and wasted no time knocking it out.. we left for work and came home to a superior job.. you literally would not have known they were even there if it weren’t for updates all day from Brady and the clean new roof.. thank you … I would recommend to all! Throughout my experience with the company I dealt with Curry and Cory. I have nothing but positive things to say about this team! I was very nervous when I had some water damage due to a series of bad storms. This was my first time dealing with an insurance claim and a repair company. Sword came highly recommended by a friend and colleague. I’m relieved and happy to say that they did not disappoint. They were patient with me, professional, EXTREMELY helpful, and efficient! We had a "25-year" asphalt shingle roof in its 26th year that was showing its age with lost bits, and so we decided not to wait for it to fail and after looking over a number of bids chose SouthWest Ohio Roof Defense (SWORD) to put in our new "50-year" shingle roof. Of the various bids we received, theirs was snug in the middle in terms of price (all were rather close except for one over-the-top), but we chose them because of their great reviews both here on Google and with the BBB, and because their proposal was the most thorough and professional, not to mention their special status with Owens Corning. They are a somewhat smaller company in the area, so in combination with other jobs ahead of us and some dicey weather in April, we did have to wait a few weeks, but once they started, they finished our 5000+ sq. foot roof in less than a day and a half. They did a great job, and we've already received compliments on it from our neighbors. Their clean-up was also spectacular. As you might imagine when tearing off an old roof the size of ours, there was a lot of mess initially, but they did a fantastic job cleaning up; I only found 1 single nail left and a few tiny pieces of old roofing about. I hope never, especially having purchased a roof with "lifetime" warranty, to buy another roof. But these folks are the first I will recommend to anyone who faces the expense of a new roof; you'll get a fair price, you'll love how it looks, and they do a great job. Thanks to Justin, his mom, to Curry and Manny and the whole crew. What more can I say?

My husband and I couldn’t be more pleased with the decision we made to hire Southwest Ohio Roof Defense (S.W.O.R.D.) to replace our wind-storm damaged roof. The service we received from S.W.O.R.D., especially from S.W.O.R.D owner, Joe Bryant, was exemplary. Joe was there the day after we called doing a thorough inspection and photographing all the damage. He then tarped all the affected areas to protect against any additional damage being incurred before the insurance company approved our claim. He was at our house to meet with the insurance inspector, making sure everything was properly documented. He also interfaced directly with the insurance company to provide any additional documentation that may be needed. Site manager Curry, and the roofing crew, did a thoroughly professional job and made sure the job site was cleared of all debris before leaving. From start to finish the complete service we received was above and beyond our expectations.
The SWORD team was very professional from start to finish. Even working with my insurance company to get a completely new roof and not just a patch. They were in and out in a day, including clean up. I would highly recommend SWORD to anyone needing a new roof.
I got several quotes and Sword gave me the best offer. Since they also have a lot of 5 star reviews I decided to go with them and I’m glad I did. They were fast and professional. They replaced my entire roof in about 4 hours and it looks great! All the debri was cleaned up from the yard. Curry and Justin were both very professional and a pleasure to work with. Outstanding experience and roof install. I worked with co-owner Justin Huber and job supervisor Curry. Highly recommend. See the photos! This is a "new to us" home where the house inspector identified numerous problems with the roof prior to closing. I contacted Mr. Huber of SWORD (SouthWest Ohio Roof Defense) for a no-cost and focused follow-up inspection. A variety of issues were identified with the roof including double shingling, questionable installation, damaged flashing and the like. It was all documented as you see on this post. The roof was end of life. Fast forward to post-closing and we worked with SWORD to get scheduled and the roof replaced. Curry was our assigned site supervisor. He reached out to us prior to arrange for materials, schedule precise times, and advise of us what was required. The install process started prompt at 7 am on a Wednesday and ended the same day for a 2800 square foot home including castle turret. Curry was onsite making sure everything was timely and done properly. Aside from physical inspection, the supervisor also used a drone to survey the work. The work was completed as shown and we are thrilled at how quick the Justin, Curry, and crew wrapped the job. Cleanup was excellent, items moved back, and collateral issues resolved (re-pinned some falling gutters - no fault of theirs).
