TERMS & CONDITIONS

CHECKING IN & OUT

Check-in begins at 3pm and check-out is at 11am. In some cases, there may be a small delay getting your room ready for 3pm, for which we sincerely apologise. We will always ensure you are welcomed warmly and provided a comfortable place to relax until your room is ready. If you require a later check-out, please let us know as soon as you possibly can. We will try to be as accommodating as possible with this request, as we want our guests to be able to stay and relax for as long as possible at The Three Horseshoes.

DRESS CODE

There is no dress code. Please come in whatever you feel comfortable in, but please refrain from wearing anything that could be offensive.

COURTYARD AND OLD BUILDINGS

We are an ancient inn – so please take care on all surfaces, some of which are stone and can be uneven or slippery.

RATES

All our room rates are displayed on our booking platform and include a full breakfast service (inclusive of VAT). This rate is pre-paid in advance of your stay.

PAYMENTS

We accept payment by card only. We accept all major European cards, including American Express. We do not accept payment by cheque or traveller’s cheque.

CANCELLATIONS & NO SHOWS

Please contact us directly about cancellations with as much notice as possible.  All Guest Room cancellations made in the 7 days prior to your arrival date, and which we are unable to resell, will be fully chargeable. We require a credit card to reserve your room and this would be charged in the event of cancellation.
If you do not show up for your booking, you will be charged in full and receive no refund.

CAR PARKING

We have a car park at the rear of the Pub, which all guests are able to use. The manager on duty must be informed if any vehicles are to be left overnight by guests who are not staying. All vehicles and their contents are left solely at the owner’s risk and the Pub is not liable for any damage. Please ensure that you park in a way that is respectful to other guests.

PHONE SIGNAL

The mobile phone signal is very weak at The Three Horseshoes and in Batcombe village. Calls can be made at the property via WIFI calling, if your device supports it, and WhatsApp.

CHILDREN & FAMILY

If you have young children that require a cot, we can supply one (without bedding) to you free of charge. Only a few of our rooms can accommodate this request and we have limited availability, so please get in touch prior to your arrival to ensure we can meet your needs.
We have 2 interconnecting rooms that can accommodate families (Room 3 & Room 4) so please ensure you select these rooms when booking.  Children (below the age of 16) should not be left unaccompanied on the premises.

DOGS

Dogs are allowed in the bar and dining areas of the Pub, and all outside areas. However, we would like to politely ask that all dogs are kept under control by their owners. They must remain at their owner’s table at all times and should be put on a lead if necessary. This will be a huge help to the team and guests at The Three Horseshoes, as it will prevent our furry friends from being trip hazards and protect those who suffer from allergies.
We allow dogs for over night stays only in Rooms 1, 2 and 4.

SECURITY

While there are alarms and CCTV on the premises, all guests are responsible for their own belongings. We recommend that you keep your room locked when vacating your room.

AFTER HOURS

There will be no staff members on site between approximately midnight to 7.30am. If you require assistance during the night, you will be given a selection of emergency numbers to call.

GUEST BEHAVIOUR & NOISE

We ask that all guests are mindful of one another when dining and staying as a guest at The Three Horseshoes. We must also be mindful of the houses around us to ensure we do not disturb our lovely village. If any of our guests are rude or dismissive to staff or other guests, we have the right to ask them to leave, although we sincerely hope this never happens.

All of our guest rooms are located above the kitchen, bar and/or dining areas and therefore some general noise may be heard during opening times. However, we have installed the maximum soundproofing in each of the rooms, where the building could accommodate it, to mitigate any intrusive noise disturbance for the comfort of our guests.

ALLERGIES & INTOLERANCES

If you have a feather allergy please let us know on booking your room (or at least a day before your stay), so that we can provide hypoallergenic bedding where possible.
Should you suffer from any food allergies or intolerances and you are dining with us please make your waiter aware of this as soon as possible. Our kitchen can accommodate nearly all requirements and we will always do our best to ensure you have something delicious to eat.

SMOKING

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside any of our buildings. If the smell of smoke is detected in your room upon departure, we may charge an extra fee for the additional cleaning required.

KEYS

Your guest room keys should be returned to a member of staff at the end of your stay.  If you have mistakenly taken one of the room keys, following your departure from The Three Horseshoes, it must be returned to us within a week to avoid facing a charge.

COVID–19

We will follow all government guidelines regarding COVID-19 and work with best practice measures in the Pub, Dining Rooms and Guest Rooms. We ask our guests to respect any restrictions we have implemented and follow the government guidelines.
