Very similar to Cambucá, a species native to Brazil, but with larger fruits.

Edible fruit collected from the wild and sometimes sold in local markets.

Pulp is succulent, sweet, abundant, and of good flavor.

Not very aromatic; the pulp closest to the seed is enriched with more fiber and nutrients.
