In Vietnam, along with the change in the government's electricity price policy, numerous wind power projects under the Power Development Plans VII and VIII have had their electricity purchase prices adjusted to under $0.07 per kWh, no longer benefiting from the feed-in tariff electricity price policy. Most projects are struggling with financial challenges related to diminishing profits from wind power. As a result, several wind-power developers have now decided to use Chinese wind turbines in their projects.

Envision Energy has provided turbines for such projects in the southwest and south central regions such as in Hoang Hai, Tai Tam, IAPet Dak Doa, Hoa Binh 5, Huong Linh 3-4, Cuu An, Dak Hoa, Nam Binh, Lac Hoa 2, Hoa Dong 2, and Phuoc Huu.
