Grade 7 Up?Friedhoffer illustrates some basic principles of physics using familiar toys. The book is organized by type of toy?those that illustrate air or water pressure, magnetism, friction, etc. Explanations are detailed and clear. Safety warnings are incorporated throughout; a particularly good idea when objects such as dart guns are featured. This title will be most useful for science projects. Black-and-white line drawings and well-labeled diagrams illustrate many of the principles.
