In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart, with a little loss to the head and tail of the spine. Front joint is cracked. Light bumping to the extremities. A few minor marks to the boards, the front board onlay is lightly rubbed. Spine is lightly faded. Front hinge is weak and may fail, despite careful handling. Bookseller's label to the front paste down. Front endpaper is detached but present. Internally, binding is tender in places. Pages are bright and clean. Ink inscription to the half-title.
