Synopsis:
This wonderfully illustrated educational book, part of the award-winning SAE International - A World In Motion program, teaches engineering principles to primary-age children through an imaginative and exciting story. In The Three Little Pigs Sledding Adventure, readers will follow the three little pigs as they go out to play in the snow and ride on their sleds. Before long, the three little pigs discover that the Big Bad Wolf is out too, and if they are not careful, they could end up in big trouble. The story, while exciting and fun, presents scientific concepts and teaches the effect of varying weight on the pigs sled and how far and fast it can go to escape the Big Bad Wolf. Proceeds of book sales benefit the SAE Foundation and its pre-college educational programs.
About the Author:
Stephen Krensky did not have the kind of childhood anyone would choose to write books about. It was happy and uneventful, with only the occasional bump in the night to keep him on his toes. He started writing in college and his first book was published in 1977, two years after he graduated. He is now the author of over 100 fiction and nonfiction children s books, including novels, picture books, easy readers and biographies. When Mr. Krensky feels he has spent enough time hunched over his computer, he likes to play tennis and softball. He and and his wife Joan live in Lexington, Massachusetts.
