They are neither intelligence tests nor simply puzzles but practical exercises in that conscious and deliberate manipulation of our mental resources which alone is entitled to be called the real Art of Thinking. And they are within the compass of the average mind. A. R. Orage began his working life as a teacher in the Board (Council) School in Leeds, England, starting with the youngest children; and he claimed that this experience was of the greatest value to him later as editor, psychologist and philosopher. Orage, a profound student of both the academic and esoteric schools of psychology, gathered around him a number of first-rank psychologists of their time - among them Dr. Maurice Nicoll, Dr. J. C. Young, Dr. Mary Bell, Dr. D. M. Eder and Havelock Ellis - all of whom paid tribute to his stimulating mind. Seller Inventory # 002654
