What do you deliver?
We deliver our coffee beans and take ‘n’ bake scone wheels to your door—zero contact delivery. Every day we offer light, medium, dark and decaf roasts—fresh roasted daily and delivered to you whole bean or ground-to-order.
Our take ‘n’ bake scone wheels are made from scratch daily and arrive ready to slice and bake (or slice and freeze. Our unbaked scone dough freezes beautifully, and requires no thaw time. Lightly brush your still-frozen scone with a blend of egg white and a spoonful of sugar. Pop in the oven and voila). Scone flavors rotate and typically include chocolate chip, cranberry, currant walnut and cherry among others.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver within Wilmette, Evanston, Winnetka, Kenilworth, Northfield, Skokie, up to Glencoe, out to Glenview and beyond…and we’ll deliver to other areas by special request. Ask and we’ll do what we can to make it happen!

How does delivery work?
Our take ‘n’ bake scone wheels are made to order and we roast coffee daily to make sure your order arrives at peak form. Once you place an order, you’ll receive your order delivered to your door within 24 hours or less / one full business day including delivery on Saturdays and Sundays. Please order accordingly if you would like to enjoy your scones for a particular occasion or on a particular day.
We deliver daily, with the exception of some holidays, and most deliveries will arrive between 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We’ll leave your order at the door and ring the bell to ensure you’ve picked up the order before we leave.
Will you deliver baked scones or brewed coffee?
At this time we do not deliver baked scones or brewed coffee, but we’re looking at ways to make it happen. Enter the Alchemy Coffee ‘n’ Scone Delivery Truck…!?!
I scored a scone wheel! How do I bake it?
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Baking all the scones at once? Slice into 8-10 pieces by first slicing the scone wheel in half, and then carefully slice each half into 4-5 pieces depending on desired scone size.
Next, arrange your scones onto an ungreased baking sheet, preferably lined with a silpat mat.
Blend one egg white and one tablespoon sugar, then lightly brush each scone with the mixture. It’s important to go easy on the egg wash and keep the liquid off the baking sheet—otherwise you could get a scone with a rubbery bottom.
Bake your scones for roughly 40-50 minutes depending on your oven. Enjoy!
How long will a scone wheel last in the refrigerator?
Not long! One to two days. Which naturally leads to the next question.
Can I freeze my scone wheel?
Yes! Our scone dough freezes beautifully, and does NOT require time to thaw when you’re ready to bake.
Rather than freezing the wheel in its entirety, we suggest that you slice the wheel into your desired pieces (roughly eight to ten pieces) and place the pieces together in a freezer bag. Lie flat, and try not to overcrowd the scones. You may need two bags. Be sure to squeeze out the excess air and then wrap in tin foil to help protect the delicate dough.
Again, no need to thaw each piece. When you’re ready to enjoy, simply take the scone(s) out of the freezer and brush the still frozen scone with the egg white and sugar wash.
What’s the best way to store my coffee beans?
You can keep coffee beans on your counter in an airtight container for roughly one week. If you do not plan to use your coffee immediately, you can freeze the beans — either whole bean, or ground. Place our Alchemy coffee bag inside a freezer bag, squeeze out the excess air and place in the freezer for up to one month.
Do you ship coffee beans and take ‘n’ bake scone wheels?
Yes, by special request. At the moment, we’re working to perfect delivery (hey, gotta start somewhere and we’re still just growing accustomed to accepting credit cards! Baby steps). But we’re on it.
