Our ideal customer is anyone who would like to take a single watercolor class in a lovely country setting, but only 8 miles from the Texas A&M campus. Beginners and more advanced painters are welcome. We provide all supplies: paint, paper, brushes, etc., but painters can bring their own supplies. We also offer free coffee, water and snacks. Our clients are 16 years old and up, mostly older. The studio can easily accommodate wheelchairs. We love having families and friends come to paint together. Folks can also arrange for private classes, individually and in a group. The Lazy Watercolor Afternoons are fun! One can bring all their own supplies and paint all afternoon for $10. If you need supplies, cost is only $5 more and if you want a project or an intro to watercolor, that will be an extra $25. Look at our past retreats for ideas.
We also offer gift certificates.
Welcome to Brazos Watercolor Retreats! This is an idea by Wendy Keeney-Kennicutt and Robyn Glass, 2 very witty women! Our plan is to have watercolor workshops in Wendy's art studio, located in a peaceful, tree-filled and beautiful part of Brazos County, only 8 miles from the Texas A&M University campus. This is the perfect place to unwind, de-stress and watercolor surrounded by nature with two experienced artists. The workshops are for everyone, including beginners. You will enjoy yourself no matter what your experience-level is, creating one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork while learning watercolor techniques.

Robyn and I were drinking wine after our opening reception for a downtown Bryan art show and we had this great idea of giving watercolor classes, but where to have it? Robyn recalled I had a studio, but I had built it to tutor chemistry students. So we revamped it for art classes and Brazos Watercolor Retreats was born!
