A career in real estate is incredibly rewarding. I love seeing new clients become friends, watching a client finally find the perfect home (after three dozen showings!), and exploring our valley—the old and the new—every day of the week.
However, my journey to a satisfying career in real estate was anything but straightforward. Before real estate, I worked as a Certified Public Accountant. I started out doing taxes then moved to corporate accounting at a publicly traded bank holding company. When my husband needed to transfer (therefore we moved) to a 4 year to finish his construction engineering degree I joined a firm where I split my time between two divisions, auditing small governments and implementing cloud based accounting systems and training the accounting department on how to use it. When I had my first child I tried my hand at being a stay-at-home mom for a couple of years (y'all deserve ALL the claps) and finally my Mom talked me into getting my real estate license.
