Times are changing quickly folks..... at some point they will be implementing a subscription format for the Desktop version, and it will be sooner than later..... they've already done it with QB Enterprise. Keep your eyes open and let your clients know. The push to QB Online is real, but they've "promised" to keep Desktop as an option as long as customers are using it. However, we will have to start doing an annual subscription at some point. The older versions can be used but unsupported by their tech support. Doesn't mean you can't still use the older versions, though I agree that you should use at least version 2020 or above til mid year. Then it will sunset and you'll have to upgrade to at least 2021 version.

The Reconciliation Discrepancy report should be able to help you pinpoint where the change was made if you're using the QB Desktop version. If you're using the QB Online, then you'll need to look through the prior Reconciliation Reports to try and find the change that was made. If you're unable to find it this way, then you may need to undo the prior reconciliations until you're beginning balance matches with your bank balance. Hope this helps! :)
