So I told myself, "Just one more chapter to see if it gets to what I want." It did not. However, how the story is told is very intriguing. Well laid out, it follows along nicely, with no surprises, no newly added scenes, or unexplained flashbacks.
Better yet, The characters are well-defined and believable. You can almost feel the setting sun as you sit on the porch listening to them. The author knew their Civil War history, and I liked that. I read it to the end and wanted more!
