Lear studied Economics at Brooklyn College then worked in a variety of fields such as information technology, finance and now as a leader in the Army. Turning to writing childrens books as a hobby Lear found anyone who read his books no matter what mood they were in laughed out loud.
He teamed up with veteran book illustrator Chrissie Vales and has created a winning combination that children find irresistible.

About the author
Lear Riojas (1972-Present) is a first time author creating excitement with his first children's picture book Banana Fun Bread. This funny book has won over many young readers by entertaining them with rhymes, chase situations and silly fun! Lear is married with four children, has a Masters degree in Information Technology Management, and wrote the book to to teach his daughters the importance of editing.
He teamed up with a fantastic book illustrator, Chrissie Vales to create a classic children's picture book like his favorite author Maurice Sendak, who wrote Where Wild Things Are.

Sentences are easy for these kids to understand, such as:
“One loaf, two loaf, come back three, why do you run away from me?
Who, who, who are you? Don’t you know it’s too late for you?”
The illustrations are in pastel colors with cute expressions.
It kept the kids laughing. They were also curious as to what was going to happen next. It reminds us all how fun it can be to tap into imagination.
