Baked-on food? Greasy residue? Here are tips for making dish cleanup a little easier when hand-washing your dishes.

Get the cleanest of clean. Wash simple glasses and flatware first, and save the dirtiest pots and pans for last. This cleanest-to-dirtiest order helps keep grease and other residue from making a mess of your kitchen sink.

Don't go scrub crazy. Let a powerful dish soap do most of the work for you. Use Dawn Platinum because it provides the power of an overnight soak in just 3 minutes. To finish the job on heavy metal and untreated pots and pans, try a scouring pad. But for ceramic, glass, aluminum, and enameled or nonstick pots and pans, reach for a less abrasive nylon-mesh pad.

Waterline woes. When glass vases and pitchers develop waterlines or hard-water spots, try rubbing the line with a lemon half with the seeds removed. If the waterline remains, soak the glass overnight in a bath of white vinegar and water and then hand-wash.

Uncloud crystal. Because crystal is softer than glass, its surface is easier to scratch. And crystal pieces cannot withstand extreme temperatures, so don’t put them in the dishwasher. Your best bet for maintaining their sparkle is to line your sink with a towel and gently wash crystal with dishwashing liquid and warm water.

Get brilliant baby bottles. Use some dish liquid and some warm water to clean your dishes and your baby bottles. As always, be sure to read the usage instructions on the baby bottles before you wash.

I love this pump foam. The pump can come off and be refilled and cleaned. The pump itself does get a soap buildup I just soak in warm water or clean with a brush.Beware of getting this shipped if you have a problem with your packaging frequently being damaged. If the package is mishandled it will cause leaks and a mess.It’s next to every sink in my home and I have backups in the pantry. Yea I’ve gifted it as well. Oh and I have a pump in my emergency diaper bag. Maybe I have a problem. Will buy refill at my local grocery store or whatever is cheaper.

This is a great product that I use on all kinds of things besides dishes, including cutting grease from my oily hair and as a soap dispenser at my bathroom sink that cleans bathroomy hands very well without leaving me soap scum to deal with. A bottle lasts quite a while even used daily, as long as you don't overkill your soap needs by using a full pump of soap for every last little need. It's concentrated and a little goes a long way.

Stock up! Or put this on a subscription perhaps. I regularly find ALL the stores I go to no longer carrying the foam for many months at a time. For that reason I bought a bunch recently and then put this item on a subscription myself. So much faster and easier to use than a regular drippy dish-soap dispenser, and as strong as any soap you'll find without being oily, gritty, or harsh itself.

They asked for a rating on scent, and I've never really noticed it one way or the other, but just gave that 5 stars because if I don't notice the scent or apparently care enough to go sniffing it, there's no reason to say anything negative about it. Or maybe it not being too perfume-y is actually a 5-star quality?

The Dawn Platinum dish detergent is excellent, long lasting and good value because it is concentrated and you need very little to handle some of the routine and tougher dish and pot cleaning jobs. The one issue I had was with how the product was packaged. When the pump and refill arrived it was wrapped in plastic (good) but when I cut open the plastic the inside of the plastic and the bottles were covered with dish detergent and my hands instantly became soapy from it. The refill bottle's cap was loose, which means that some of the product leaked out during shipment. Both the pump refill bottle had to be rinsed for several minutes to get the detergent off. The bottle was also dented, and I ended up emptying that refill bottle into my previous refill bottle. Please be more careful how this is packaged. How does a new refill bottle that was stocked from the company with a cap that should be tight get loose anyway?

I absolutely love this soap you don't need much of it. It comes out as a thick foam thet really cuts through grease it's a must on spaghetti night. It leaves my dishes squeaky clean. The pump is super easy to pump with one hand.
