This quality hardback Lonely Planet book begins with a brief overview of EV’s, and the different types of chargers available. Of course, you will need to do more investigation if you are thinking of buying an EV, but if you know nothing about them, this gives a brief outline.

I have been driving an EV for many years, but still have that worry about range and charging so driving abroad has been out of the question until reading this.

The book gives ideas for routes to follow with chargers along the way, places to visit and hotels where the car can recharge whilst you do too.

There are plenty of routes in the UK, and so many places I haven’t seen, I’m going to give at least one of those a go first.

This guide doesn't have to just be limited to EV drivers, however I ordered this shortly after ordering my first EV. The guide is great for inspiration for travels including places to stay and charge. The images are stunning and tease enough to inspire you to take a trip. Its well written and well presented. Currently £13 this is a good price and happily recommend it.

Venturing through Europe, feeling the whisper of history in the landscapes, has always been a personal fascination. Packed with 60 routes, this guide turned my electric vehicle into a time machine, allowing me to retrace the steps of those who came before. Charging points are conveniently located, eradicating any range anxiety. My favourite? Cruising Crete's northern coast, marvelling at golden beaches and quaint fishing villages. Europe's beauty is worth experiencing and this guide made it possible, even in an electric car.

This is a review of the Lonely Planet Electric Vehicle Road Trips – Europe. Lonely Planet is a well-known company in the travel guidebook industry.

One of the challenges of owning an Electric Vehicle (EV) is the concern about range and the need to plan road trips around charging networks. This book aims to help you make the most of your trip.

The book features 60 touring routes with detailed itineraries, maps, and locations of charging stations. It provides options for 60 different road trips, rather than serving as a comprehensive guide on how to tour all of Europe. Therefore, some additional planning would be necessary. It is also great for fly-drive adventures. Especially, if you decide to fly or take the train and then hire an EV car for exploring that region.

The book is in hardback format with beautiful photographs and maps, complemented by a semi-glossy finish. It is a great coffee table collection.

Highly recommended.
