looks great as a gauge swap, since I refused to have a depth finder mounted to our vintage boat anywhere. The only thing that obviously sucks, is that on the river once you read shallow water, it's too late. The sand bars move around so much it's hard to tell until you get there. It's been pretty eye opening though to see how shallow the entire river really is with this thing tho! Yikes.

Nice - does the job - love the warning settings. LCD display can be a bit hard to read with polarized sunglasses on, though - just be aware you may have to tilt your head forward or back, or lift up your glasses in bright light - the polarization in the lenses can make the screen appear to have large black spots on it. Installation was easy enough, although the instructions aren't very clear as far as what wires (shield and ground) need to be joined together on each connection. Once I got that sorted out, the install was pretty straightforward. As a 'new' boat owner, it took me longer to figure out how to mount the depth sounder than it did to run the wires and install the gauge in the console. Then the wiring fun started :).

Bought this unit for my pontoon boat in the fall of 2021. It has lots of nice features but it quit working about a month ago and it is (probably) out of warranty; can't tell because warranty information is not posted on the listing. The display continually flashes when power is on and when you power it on, it displays a different constant depth each time no matter where you are on the lake. Wasn't cheap and thought I was buying a good product as the rest of the gauges on my boat are Faria brand and work flawlessly.

Wanted this to be so awesome. I installed as instructed. Within the second trip out. The water temp quit reading. (One of the main reasons we bought this model)

Now, it's installed, and too difficult to replace because I drilled a 2 & 1/16 in hole in my dash. 😢

Unfortunately, you should buy something else.

June 3rd, 2021 - completely quit working. 10 months old and gauge is shot. Don't purchase, will update on how the company handles replacement and if there is a warranty.
