Also, I’d think it would possibly be the opposite, but it’s not, the pants version of these shorts fit me in size XS. I have several. The shorts? I had to return XS & I went with S & it fits like the pants do but a size higher 🤷‍♀️. Pretty funny lol. Just making note of that one.

Cute Comfy Shorts - FYI Elastic Waistband is Minimal

These are cute, casual, flattering shorts. FYI the elastic waistband mentioned in the product title is minimally "elastic" - I've found it mostly relies on the string closure to keep them up - so tie it tight if you want them to stay up! (They'd be a little easier to take on/off if the elastic was a little more stretchy. But overall they are good, and I have a couple pairs now. I am 5'2", 105 lbs and got the size small. They are a bit roomy - but I think in the way they're meant to look, and they are comfy and not too short for my liking. (If you are similar size you probably could get a size XS and they'd fit ok but I'd imagine maybe extra short).

The main reason I bought these shorts is because I thought they were purple like the picture shows. But in reality they are navy blue. Just wanted to put that out there for anyone else thinking they are buying purple shorts. I have a pear shaped body with most of my weight carried in the hips/thighs so I sized up like all the other reviewers were recommending and went with the XL instead of the L, but I wish I did not because they are quite loose. I can still wear them since its a draw string, but really hoping they will shrink a bit when I wash/dry them.

I sized up on these shorts, because Roxy is a brand typically aimed a teens and younger women that are a bit narrower in the hips. Glad I did. Medium fit perfect. Has a lower rise (which I like), nice material that is not sheer, fits well in the butt, and has nice room in the legs. Adjustable draw string means no muffin tops. They are short but not SUPER short, and feel appropriate for my age (34)

If you are a bit curvier on the bottom, I'd say size up one.

With all the high-waisted shorts these days, these almost felt a bit too low (they sit right around the hip bone) but the draw string waist helps you get a good fit. The fabric felt a bit tight when I first tried them on but they definitely stretched out with wear. I would recommend buying your normal size. I have a 27 inch waist (at the narrowest part) and 36 inch hips (at the widest part) and the xs fit best (I tried the small first and it was a bit too baggy). Glad I switched to the extra-small considering how much they bagged out.
