Max (he/him) is a Charlotte, NC native who spent his teen and college years in VA. Max earned his BFA in illustration at Virginia Commonwealth University before starting his hair career back in Richmond in 2012. With 10 years behind the chair, Max has worked mainly as a cutting specialist, developing a love for natural texture brought forth through razor and dry curly cutting. Max has a love for teaching and is always looking to coach clients and stylists alike in how to bring forth consistent beautiful results that work with your natural hair. When he’s not behind the chair, you can find Max on the tennis and volleyball court, drawing on his iPad, or taking care of his plants and garden.

Elena Rojas, a local Marylander, found her love for hair when she was young. There was something magical about sitting in a stylist chair and walking away feeling transformed, that grabber her soul. She knew that if she could give that feeling to others, than Hair was her true calling. So, the moment Elena was able to leap, she placed herself in all aspects of the hair industry. Since 2014 Elena has found a home at some of the best salons in NYC and more importantly the DMV. In the later part of her career, Elena felt pulled by the color world. She felt that was her passion and fire. Since she has been dedicated to perfecting and building her color portfolio, specializing particularly in blondes and vivids. Elena is an authentic COLOR enthusiast, and we are proud to have her on our team!

It was in 2004 that Amy discovered her true passion for hair. Once she knew this was going to be har career path she dedicated her time to learning, growing and developing knowledge in every facade of hair. In 2007, Amy took her love for hair abroad and was able work along side some the worlds most amazing Global Hair Artist. Upon her return she developed a dexterity for achieving wearable and lived in hair. One of Amy’s specialties is Dry cutting. Dry cutting gives you the ability to create a better shape and line while also removing unnecessary weight/ heaviness. Dry cutting is where the magic happens and is what allows your hair to come to life. It takes creativity and expertise to understand the value of ones Cut and color which it is why Amy’s goal is to combined her craft in both arts to make your look stand out above all. “Your hair is the canvas that allows one to transform and empower their everyday feelings and energy.” It is her goal to AMPlify, morph, and transform your look!
