CARMEL VALLEY PEST CONTROL

Arrangements were made in advance of a time for tenting when we would be on vacation. Preparations were made in advance for access and gas shut off. During the work, we received an email from CVPC that when they found broken ceramic pots on the floor of the kitchen. I explained to them that everything was in tact when we left, and no one else had been in the house until they arrived. We discussed this, and agreed to their offer of $100 credit for this issue Upon return to the house (2) days after the tenting had been removed, we found that they had left an entry door from the garage to the house propped open with a chair. As the garage is not secured for mice and other pests, this allowed access to the house for anything that could get into the garage. We promptly found a dead lizard in one of the bedrooms. When I contacted CVPC about this, they simply said it was a result of "human error". We have no idea what else got into the house as a result of their 'human error". Additionally, we found an access gate on the side of the house taken off it's hinges, and not put back the way it was before the tenting. All these issues simply shows a lack of professionalism and shoddy work. I would not using this recommend this company.

I deal with them very little, but the are pretty reasonable, less then their competitors, they are prompt, they show up when they say they will and we don't have any complaints.They are scheduled to come regularly.

We bought a house in Sorrento Valley and the sellers did the inspection with this company and we thought to hire them because we will save time due to no need for inspection. So, I called to schedule a full tenting treatment which was a $2000 business for them. It took multiple times calling and leaving message till she called me back the first time, although she knew this is a ready to go order. She said she will send me some documents so I sign and return to her. Yesterday, a week had passed and I still I hadn't received those documents. After multiple phone calls which were going straight to voice mail AS USUAL, I left a message and asked either she call me back or I don't want to work with them. Unbelievable attitude. Super rude. I really don't know how the business environment allows these companies to exist with this type of service and attitude. As soon as I answered she stormed at me and started yelling that she is a busy person and lying that she already sent the documents. She said and quot;if you don't want to work with us, I don't care. I will cancel coz we are very busy. I can't call you back because I am busyand quot;, and guess what? She HUNG UP. If you have respect for yourself and your time, and if you care what type of service you get for you money, I recommend you WALK AWAY from Carmel Valley Pest Control and Melody or Maloney or whatever her name is...

The guy that came out seemed very unprepared and unprofessional. He had absolutely nothing with him, and didn't even seem interested in the job I had. About the only good thing I can say about the experience is that they showed up on time. All the other companies that came out for an estimate took measurements and detailed notes. They seemed a little too casual, so I didn't feel confident hiring them for the job. They also failed to follow up with me in regards to the estimate.

They are a small company and it is the same person who comes out every time. They are very reasonably priced. I like them.

I have dealt with them in the past and they have been very nice. They were polite and their reports seemed pretty good.

They did everything they said they would do. They did the fumigation while we were out of town. We mailed them a key and they took care of things that we were unable to do (like opening the car doors and even unhooking the car battery so that it wouldn't be drained). I was kept well informed of any issues and everything went exactly as planned. They are very professional and they were the lowest price of the 4 bids that we got.

About a month ago, we noticed a hole in the drywall in our bathroom and realized we had termites in the stud in the wall. We had four companies give us quotes. Two wanted to tent the whole house which we wanted to avoid. The owner of this company inspected the house, including the attic, and recommended treating the site locally since no evidence of termites was found elsewhere in the house.
