To start with, I called on a Friday at 9:00am, it was a pleasure to talk with a person and not a robot telling me to press 1 for English. Once I explained the problem, her husband said he could be here at 9:30am and indeed he was. Mr. Grimes found the problem, installed 2 new sensors and at my request he inspected the motor, the gearing and the rest of the system. The job was complete within 35 minutes. I will call them again, if and when needed. “Grimes Overhead Door Service” provided very professional, knowledgeable and reasonable service over all. My neighbor had a similar problem and Mr. Grimes gladly took care of his problem as well upon finishing mine.

It's a Friday morning before a holiday weekend and the garage door spring breaks. I called Grimes Overhead Door at about 8:05AM (they open at 8), a real person answers (guessing Mrs Grimes) and says Mr Grimes can be at my house at 11AM. The same day! Mr Grimes arrives early--who does that?--at 10:30. About a half hour later he's replaced both springs (advisable to replace both even if only one is broken) and the belt, balanced and tuned the door and lift, lubricated the rollers and springs and advised me on a maintenance schedule. It was obvious he'd done this work for a long time because he was amazingly efficient, didn't waste movement, was thinking three moves ahead as he worked. So on a Friday before a holiday I get a super-qualified and experienced repairman at my house and a job completed in just over three hours from my initial call. Wow! I'd like to say it's because I'm livin' right but I know that's not true. This was all Mr and Mrs Grimes. I was so impressed! I recommend Grimes Overhead Door.

Very smoothly. Mr. Grimes was obviously very knowledgeable about garage door issues.

They showed up on time, evaluated the situation and started to work. One of the cables had to be returned to drum guide, and the rest was general services, which included balancing the door and lubing all moving parts. Door is like brand new now. Great job!

I called Grimes and couldn't believe he actually answered the phone. He said he would be willing to come and fix it but was really looking forward to the game. He offered to come out after the game and I agreed. He came promptly after the game and fixed the door in no time. He's wonderful! He's fast, efficient, reasonably priced, always answers his phone and is completely reliable. I will continue to use him exclusively.

In a word, WOW. I only work 10 minutes from my home. He beat me there. Quick, pleasant, professional and yes honest. In less than a half an hour the door was working again. All my garage door needs will be met by this company in the future. Excellent company. Thank you.

He arrived on time and did all that was asked and paid for. He seemed very concerned about doing an excellent job.

We have been using this service for a long time. He has been friendly, nice, and punctual. Most of all, he is honest. He has been telling us not to replace door yet until we get full service out of it, Soon we will have to replace entire door and we will use Grimes, he has given us the prices and he sticks to it.

He has been in this business for about 25 or 30 years. He really knows his stuff. He didn't automatically try to sell me a new unit until it was plain that mine couldn't be fixed and was obsolete anyway. My unit was so old that it didn't have safety sensors to reverse the door if something was blocking the path. I am glad to have a new, up to date unit with a warranty.

The door would open but had problems closing. This was an intermittent problem that was getting worse. Ed arrived on time ready to work. He said the door was out of balance and that was part of the problem. He cleaned up some wiring, did the door balancing, did the regular maintenance to the rollers and springs, cleaned up a socket to make a light work properly and pretty much checked all the moving parts. Said the unit we have will last forever if we take good care of it. We will use Ed to do our regular maintenance moving forward.

Needed spring replaced, he advised to replace both. Made sense to me and I did both. He also did some maintence work to the door. Very happy

Very professional. I spoke to Ed about 10:30am, explained the problem and he said that he would be there by 11:30am. He was on time and changed both springs on my garage door in 45 minutes. He also lubed my tracks and rollers and checked my garage door opener. Great job and I would definitely call him again for any problem with my garage door.

He could never find anything and whatever he adjusted blocked the door from staying down. He fixed it. I would highly recommend him.
